If you want to see the bears during winter, go during the evening. The bear moat at the castle has two resident bears (not sure of species). We tried to go during the day but they were "inside" I assume they have some kind of bear hostel/cellar where they sleep. If you want to see them at this time of... More

Friends brought us here and we had an amazing time walking the streets and checking out the wonderful shops and markets. We enjoyed lunch at a Czech restaurant, listening to a trio of young Czech women singing and lapped up the beautiful views. An absolute delight of a place to visit!

An absolutely charming and incredibly pretty town with a great looking castle that is easy to cover and with wonderful views of the town and surroundings. Two and half hours from Prague, it's a must see location if one is visiting Prague. Can be covered in a day. There are lovely local restaurants including good vegetarian options.

Cesky Krumlov is like stepping back into the medieval times, and no visit would be complete without a trip up the castle tower. Our favorite pics were taken of the town from here.

Today we took quite some time exploring the old town of Cesky Krumlov and I have to say one of my favourite places is the castle although we did not take a tour. But just walking about and enjoying the view of the town and the river from.up there is quite spectacular. Just beautiful. We will definitely come back!

Czech republic is famous for its great castles, one of which is the castle of cesky krumlov. It is big, it includes yards and various rooms. 4 different dynasties lived in this residence and the heritage of the castle is of great significance. A museum also functions inside the castle. You can climb the castle's stairs in order to admire... More

Very pretty place that you can miss if you travel to Czech. I spent a day there with my friend and both of us didn't want to leave. Remember too book your bus ticket in advance since they are quite full.

If you are in the Czech republic for a few days, visiting Cesky Krumlov and its castle is a must. We booked the full day bus tour to Cesky Krumlov from our Ibis Prague hotel. It cost about $85 Cdn each for a small bus, a good lunch and excellent guide and driver. We arrived at the castle early so... More
