Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The latran houses along the banks of the river in Cesky Krumlov are definitely worth a visit. Once factories, mills and houses for upclass nobles, they’re now boutique shops, restaurants and hotels….but they still have kept their overall charm. The streets are cobbled, the river is rushing past and even the old water wheel is turning. Definitely a fun way to enjoy the afternoon after a visit to the castle.

As others have said, I think "charming" is a great word to describe the Latran houses, and just the area (i.e. Old Town Cesky Krumlov) in general. Unique, interesting, and definitely from another era (medieval times, in this case). Worth a wander through.

Charming houses all the way to the castle main entrance. Go this way and not via the parking lot, it’s a manicured street where all is photo worthy

Latran houses deserve a leisurely, attentive and respectful inspection, because every house of this street / quarter is a masterpiece, for the exhibit of a solid museum, which you can admire in all its glory. We stayed at this street during our visit to Cesky Krumlov and were able to appreciate all the charm of this medieval Latran street. At time Cesky Krumlov can feel like a medieval theme park - but not so much that it entirely tramples the place's charm.
The houses of Latran street are rich mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. As you wander, look up.....notice the surviving details in the fine stonework and pretty gables. Step into shops....antiques are a hit in this antique burg. Snoop into back lanes and tiny squares. Gothic buildings curve with the winding streets. Many precious Gothic and Renaissance frescoes were whitewashed in Baroque times (when the colorful trimmings of earlier periods were way out of style). Today, these frescoes are being rediscovered and restored. Latran street and its houses easy to find. Go from the main square Namesti Svornosti toward to Castle, pass the wooden bridge and continue bit uphill and you are here! Have a great time in Cesky Krumlov!

Walking along these narrow cobblestone streets, surrounded by theses historical houses , I found everything so charming. Our tour guide explained to us that some of the castle workers lived short periods of time in there. You also have to appreciate the outstanding architecture.

We went for a day visit to cesky krumlov from vienna and it was worth in every way. The city is covered with narrow cobbled streets and it is bustling with positive energy. There are number of old houses in this historic town and the city is quite clean.

The narrow cobbled street is part of the old town and is lined with medieval houses. Nothing has changed here over time and a walk along the street is a great way to travel back in time to the medieval ages. It is a great way to relax and unwind.
