Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The whole building is big construction place! The works have just started so I expect the place will not be worth of visit for next several months. This is not the issue only for this place - you can meet the same through the whole city. I only can recommend: Do not visit Carlsbad (karlovy Vary) at least this year!

While I have been told that most people find the Mill Colonnade to be their favorite of the big three, I thought this was my least favorite even though it had the most hot springs. Sure, it was a beautiful marble structure featuring a series of columns in a very Romanesque style. In addition to the columns, the colonnade also offers numerous statues above the portico. While my exact count might be off, I think there were a total of five springs of varying degrees in this colonnade. Don't get me wrong, while it was my least favorite, it was still spectacular.

Of course one cannot avoid it in the city as it has a beautiful colonnade look and a few hot water springs. This place is immediately springs in the memory when being asked about Karlovy Vary experience. Just buy a long nosed cup for water and sip to the full)))

The Mill Colonnade is made of stone in the Pseudo-Renaissance style and built over a period of 10 years, opening in 1881. Inside are six hot springs fountains. It was built to replace a much smaller, wooden colonnade that was built in the early 1790s, which had been the first in Karlovy Vary.

Count 1 hour of walk without concert at 5pm otherwise count 1 hour more. Grab an ecocup or buy yourself a local cup to taste the springs. It is without difficulty and very thickening
You must also do Marianské because the 2 cities are different

When in Karlovy Vary, you had better take the waters!! This is just one of many beautiful colonades. There are a million little shops selling the special spouted cup...go ahead and buy one, what a great souvenir. Then drink that hot mineral water! Yum!

The largest of the colonnades in Karlovy Vary - a beautiful construction , reminding of the ancient Greek architecture. The Mill Colonnade (or Mlynske in Czech) is impressive by dimension and also by the style adopted - Neo-Renaissance- by the architect.
Built between 1871 and 1881 in the center of Karlovy Vary it is housing 6 hot springs inside - and even that it was the source of controversy, some people where blaming it and said that it is destroying the image of Karlovy Vary , the work of Josef Zitek is beautiful and impressive.
There are 124 columns that are supporting the roofing of the construction with a lot decorations and bas-reliefs that are present on the building.
If you are into architecture and art it is definitely worth a visit , if not, it can also be very interesting to stop here for a few pics since it is a true landmark of the city. When in Karlovy Vary remember to visit the Mill Colonnade too, it is worth it.

You reach this beautiful colonnade or Kolonada by walking the Stara Louka (for pedestrians only with no cars nor other vehicles) which is the main street at the left side of the Tepla River.

It is definitively a must see in this splendid town of Karlovy as you can see in the pictures I have attached.

By the way you can also see it in one of the last James Bond Movie, Casino Royal I believe which also took place at the Grand Hotel Pupp.

You have around Spa's, restaurants, souvenirs sellers all along which make it even more interesting as you can stop and buy gifts for your relative and friends.

And since you're there try to drink the water, after all this all what it should be about there...

Right after this Kolonada you reach the other and not less beautiful colonnade: The Vridelni Kolonada with its small and lovely park adjoining it where you'll enjoy a quiet and relaxing break.

All the area is what makes Karlovy Vary so famous in the world and being in Karlovy and not walking this beautiful street and its splendid pieces of architecture and Colonnades would be missing the point of it.

If you visit Karlovy Vary with medical reasons you in any case will hear from your physician that local springs # 6 and 7 will be helpful for your liver and skin :).
And while approaching them you'll inevitably meet this so styled building - architects could discuss details and you could simply measure steps following correct regime of prescriptions.
There are a lot of people every time except the very morning - the first water intake :).

The square aside is beautiful in course of Christmas days with singers, wines, cookers and new year trees; and accompanied with flashing lights, certainly :).
That's why we usually stay in Karlovy Vary these two festive weeks - to acquire moods and achieve some improvements in our health.

And, besides, these springs are available through the whole day and not just within specified hours as Vridelni, for example.
Stay healthy and take your visit there next Christmas if this COVID-era, at least, diminishes its aggression :).
