Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Market Colonnade is a wooden structure built in the Swiss style and opened in 1883. It’s named after the market that was here in the Middle Ages. It's located next to the Tepla River, free and open to the public 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The Market Colonnade is a nice stroll through Karlovy Vary. It is largely dominated by tourists. Very nice building, thermal springs and overall setting close by the river. Standard tourist stuff is sold at innumerable booths. Very touristy but worth it – a must see here.

One of the best place in Karlovy Vary especially when you visit there during Christmas.
1. A lot of food stalls, souvenirs stalls and drinking stalls there.
2. There are lots of spa cup if you want to buy spa cup there.
3. Enjoyable experience and definitely worth your time.
4. Remember to drink the mineral water in the fountain during your walk in the market. It keeps you warmth.
I personally love the spring water as it gives me warmth while freezing, very mineral tasting. However, some people might not able to consumer such heavy taste of mineral water.

In the center of Karlovy Vary - the traveler shall find 4 Colonnades - all of them different, but all of them build with the same purpose , than being to offer cover when is raining or snowing and still allow those visiting to enjoy the warm waters of the mineral springs that are covered by the colonnades.
The "Market Colonnade" was built between 1882 and 1883 by Austrian architects in the so called Swiss style - entirely from wood it has a certain beauty since the wood carving is very delicate and is beautifully decorated.
Entrance is free of charge and also are the springs - but once again pay attention and only sip on the water from the special cups , don't drink too much at once , the effects can be ... well ... I hope you will not find out what happens if you drink too much hot water at once.
Enjoy, it is worth visiting this place.

This is one of the 3 beautiful Colonnades of Karlovy with The Mill Kolonada and the Vridelni Kolonada with its small but lovely park adjoining it.

I would not recommend to go specially there because the 2 other ones are more impressive but you'll get there anyway if you walk the beautiful Stara Louka street (for pedestrians only with no cars nor other vehicles) which is the main street at the left side of the Tepla River.

As I wrote it You'll do that anyway to reach the other 2 colonnades: this bundle of the 3 colonnades with the Stara Louka is definitively THE must see in this splendid town of Karlovy.

You have around Spa's, restaurants, souvenirs sellers all along which make it even more interesting as you can stop and buy gifts for your relative and friends.

Right after the Market colonnade you'll reach the Mill Kolonada that you also can see it in one of the last James Bond Movie, Casino Royal I believe which also took place at the Grand Hotel Pupp.

And after this 2nd colonnade you'll reach the 3rd and probably more beautiful colonnade: The Vridelni Kolonada with its small and lovely park adjoining it where you'll enjoy a quiet and relaxing break.

All the area is what makes Karlovy Vary so famous in the world and being in Karlovy and not walking this beautiful street and its splendid pieces of architecture and Colonnades would be missing the point of it.

This wooden colonnade is a must see in Karlovy Vary! Market Colonnade was built in Swiss style by a Viennese architect. At this colonnade, you will find the Charles IV Spring, Lower Castle Spring, and of course the Market Spring.

This location of springs seems to be our favourite since it's close to the very centre but at the same time is situated some aside; it's available and accessible within the whole day and night and it means that you could take your water at any suitable interval within prescribed limits; and, finally - it is already completely renovated and renewed and thus, nothing disturbs you there :).
Concerning the very springs - consult your physician and as for you - just know that Trizni is very helpful for your knees especially after sportive traumas and prophylactic reasons in reference to your liver :).
Keep healthy and visit this place after COVID-situation easing! :)

On our travels through Europe for the Winter markets we were not disappointed here. The markets were full of people just meandering along listening to the music and eating and drinking warm wine.

This wooden colonnade was installed temporarily, but for more than 100 years, the guests of the town and residents have been pleased with their wooden lace. Located at the very city center on a pleasant pedestrian street called Trziste, dominated by the delicate, frilly architecture of the Market Colonnade, with four more springs to sample.

At the beginning of September each year, an international music festival takes place in Karlovy Vary and it is an additional pleasure to be in this city at this time. The festival is free and takes place almost under the roofs of all city colonnades and Market colonnade is no exception. Visit here and walk along the colonnade and you will feel like in the 19th century.

The architecture and opulence in this city is overwhelming. This is definitely where the rich come to relax.
