This is the Czech version of the movie "Chocolat". I have never tasted something as good as the hot chocolate! I even went back for another one with cinnamon! I also bought 3 different kinds of chocolate. I will order more online when I run out. Literally THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TASTED! The owner is very nice & let me taste anything I was curious about. Clean, organized & reasonably priced! Go here!

The chocolate was high quality, delicious, and came in milk, dark of many varieties, and some white. The owner was very friendly and had lots of tasty samples for us to try. Don’t miss the hot chocolate!

We stopped by on a whim because it was raining and this store was open. It turned into the highlight of our trip. The woman working there was incredibly passionate about chocolate and her enthusiasm showed. We probably spent 45 minutes in this store buying various kinds of chocolate, discussing the chocolate process & industry in the Czech Republic, and enjoying the most delicious hot chocolate I've ever had (We all got different flavors, and while the other members of my group insist theirs was the best, I got the lime and caramel hot chocolate and was completely. blown. away. Definitely recommend it). She gave us a tour of the back room, with very interesting information about the chocolate industry in the Czech Republic and the complex history behind it. A very worthwhile stop on our way up to St. Barbara. I would 100% recommend stopping in and getting some hot chocolate. Maybe even two cups.

We were so happy to find this store. What a gem! The store owners were so friendly. They have an outstanding selection of bean-to-bar chocolates from a local chocolate maker (Jordi's Chocolate). It was so much fun trying their flavors. We bought a lot of bars, and the chocolate covered almonds, as gifts for friends and they have loved it.
The museum in the back is a small room but if they are not busy they can take you through it. We had no idea that Kutna Hora was a center for chocolate making. They have old metal chocolate molds and other memorabilia that was really interesting to learn about.
Don't miss their beverages! We had the best cold chocolate drink we have ever had. Tasted like a Mexican drinking chocolate with the wonderful addition of vanilla ice cream. Yum!

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this chocolate shop and decicided to pay it a visit.
The owner was very welcoming and let us sample all the chocolates we were interested in buying!
The quality of the treats here are another level from supermarkets

We made a side trip on our way from Vienna to Prague just to visit this lovely little place. Lada is a sweetheart. She went out of her way to give us a history of the Lidka chocolate factory, explaining with great detail and pride its history. I had a vision of drinking real hot chocolate, sitting at a little table on the cobbles outside, listening to the church bells chime in Kutna Hora. And we did it! What a treat! Delicious chocolates to sample, fascinating little museum. Well worth the visit.

Out of all the places to visit in Kutna Hora this was top of my list! I love chocolate and this was the cutest little museum and chocolate shop. The ladies in the shop were so helpful and friendly, they let me try any of the chocolates I wanted, and there were loads to choose from! I was rushed for time but still managed to try and buy three types of chocolate, my favourite being the Goat's Milk chocolate, really nice. Just wish I had more time to have sat down outside and enjoyed a hot chocolate. Lovely place.

There's an old saying that chocolate produces the same endorphins or feelings as sex!
I hope believe the saying is true because I love chocolate and always feel good eating it just like sex.
If you love chocolate you're really going to enjoy this chocolate shop and museum.
The Staff/Owners are very friendly and will that you taste different chocolates until you find what you like.
They also have a neat little museum on the history of chocolate that you will enjoy so Stop in for a visit and have some good chocolate. Enjoy!

I didn't even know this place existed. My friend and I were visiting Kutna Hora for a day in May 2016, mostly to see the Ossuary. We then spent the rest of the day visiting the other beautiful sites. At one point we got lost and ended up finding a tiny shop that said 'Chocolate Museum' so we went in.
The museum part was closed, I think they said renovations, but the lovely and friendly staff member let us have samples of lots of the chocolates there. I found the perfect gift for my mom who adores ginger chocolate.
If you happen to be in Kutna Hora, it's worth popping in...if you like chocolate.
