Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My two young teens and I were on a half-day-trip from Prague and decided to try to see the silver mine. The woman selling tickets was very accommodating and kind even when I misunderstood that the self guided tour is only of the museum. Luckily for us, some booked guests didn’t show up so we were able to book an English guided tour of the mine at the last minute.

Our guide Vítek was terrific. His English is great, and he is friendly and entertaining. He was even able to condense the normal tour down to fit within the time we had. I really wish we could have gone slower and seen it all, but I do think we got the highlights and most of the information. My kids are a bit tired of tours and especially enjoyed getting the mine experience but skipping the museum.

The price is reasonable, and I recommend this unique experience. Be aware that the mine entrance is up a hill from the main building and then involves descending down many flights of stairs. The exit trip back has some stairs and then a small hill to climb. There is also a short section of the mine where you have to duck walk because the ceiling is so low.

My husband was determined to visit a real chateau and this place really fits the bill. It's like something out of a fairytale with turrets and spires. Guided tour is in Czech but we were given an English language guidebook. There is so much to see here and so many artefacts that have remained untouched for years - really felt like we'd stepped back in time.

Czech Museum of Silver is worth a visit. You can visit museum where you can get known history of Kutna Hora, from archaeological times through peak period, until now. You can see all coins which were made in this beautiful town. Impressive.

The castle is more like a house that resembles a castle. It's in a residential neighborhood. We parked on the street and took a look around.

The museum night was awesome. Exhibition about Jan Hus (600 years anniversary), interactive for kids. Live "Jan Hus" in costume spoke to us, very inspiring. Amazing gothic building.
