Impressive cathedral as you approach from the outside and even nicer inside . Being restored , lots of paintings at eye level and nice altar with skeletons of saints gifted by a Pope in years gone by in two large glass caskets

Jan Blažej Santini Aichl - a baroque architect who did several masterpieces of a baroque gothic style - a unique one.

Another UNESCO sight which I would recommend people to see when visiting the Czech Republic. The cathedral is in Kutna Hora 100km east of Prague. We were staying at the centre of Kutna Hora so it was a good 20-25 minutes walk. It has a very interesting history. We went up to the attic and you end up in the... More

The Assumption Cathedral is on the main road, just at the corner where turning left for the famous Ossuary. First, you'll notice its grandeur, which doesn't seem to belong to a small town like Kutna Hora, specially to Sedlec as a part of it where it is. The facade is huge, pure Gothic but pretty simple, not that decorative like... More

We came from Prague to see the ossuary, but learned we could buy a ticket that allowed us to visit two additional sites, this one and the Church of St Barbara. Cost was 185 Kc, or about $7.65 American. We are glad we got to see all three sites. This was a huge Gothic-Baroque style cathedral that was impressive both... More

This church didn't seem like much when we first got in but boy were we wrong. Once you are in and able to explore the multiple levels and almost attic areas of the church you are able to see so much more. If you are doing all the sights that Kutna Hora has to offer than plan to be there... More

If you go to the ossuary you can get a ticket to see the cathedral as well. We thought it was worth the little extra to do both. The cathedral was huge and very impressive both inside and out. Some beautiful paintings inside.

From the outside, the building looks huge and beautiful, but there's nothing inside. It looks empty. If you have a lot of time before leaving Kutna Hora, then go to the inside. If you don't have a lot of time, you can skip the visit, not impressive.

This cathedral looks very out of place in the small town, it's huge! The church is amazing given how old it is, the trip upstairs into the top of the cathedral is very interesting. The paintings are in brilliant condition and the entry is very cheap, especially when combined with Kutna Horas other attractions, it's certainly worth the visit!

I would suggest that visitors to the Ossuary/"Bone Church" make their way here (it's just down the road). A beautiful cathedral with lots to see - like the remains of two saints (a bit morbid, but fascinating)!
