Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. I am a lover of jewelry and precious stones so I have to come in. It is small but has many interesting pieces of a jewelry. The staff is very nice and incredibly helpful (speaks english fluently). I had no idea about differences between bohemian garnets and the other fake ones so I am glad that found out about it before buying something in other shops. The shop itself is magnificient, jewelry is beautiful, it is difficult to decide what to buy and you can buy a lot there. :)

The woman that worked in the shop was so friendly and helpful and she lets you try on what ever you would like. The store has some information about the history of garnets and the Bohemian Garnets in particular. You receive a certificate of authenticity as well. I never knew that garnets came in so many colors.

If you are interested in purchasing jewelry with real Bohemian Garnets, you must visit this small museum. It will save you a lot of money and probably shame. The collections are lovely and the staffs are very helpful.

In the same building as the Fantastika Black light theatre, it offers a short yet well-balanced experience of documentary, interactivity, jewellery design and craftsmanship, leading to the national glorification of a stone known as Czech granát.
Loved the idea that you can look for your own piece of Czech granát - as found in nature, which you can take with you as a souvenir.
The staff is friendly and approachable.

Was looking for a authentic Bohemian Garnet gift for someone during our stay in Prague, and after a few stores it looked a bit confusing when you want to make sure of the type and origin of the stones. Plus most of the sellers were quite pushy.
Ended here a bit randomly but the welcome was good and not pushy at all. They ended up giving us interesting infos about the stone and it’s history here. End the end, found the perfect gift here.
Maybe slightly more pricy than others “regular” stores but it feels safer and the infos you can get from the sellers and/or the museum are quite interesting.

While you'll be visiting Prague be sure not to miss this amazing place, with very good location, full of unique pieces of original Bohemian garnets. Great idea to open this museum, because they are basically and mostly known as a symbol of Czech Republic. I found out all interesting informations about history, mining, types of garnets and so on, and at the end there is also a shop where you can buy some jewellery or other things. This museum sells certified garnets, so you don't have to worry, you'll get a certificate as well. The staff is very polite and friendly so I would definitely recommened this place among the others.
