Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I have been buying porcelain street signs from this store for over 12 years. This store has so many antiques from all over the world. There are actually 2 shops which is a main shop and then a smaller shop that are within a 100 yards of each other. Milos the owner speaks several languages and is always willing to talk and answer any questions. Milos has became like a family member to us over the years. If you go there tell Milos the Beth & george said hello.

The man at the counter was extremely helpful and even gave out chocolate whilst we were browsing. The store has a lot of beautiful antiques and the atmosphere was welcoming !!

Such friendly service. A very humble and knowledgeable owner, sharing travel stories and helping to find goodies. Not the slightest bit pushy, giving space to look through the many hundreds of knickknacks and instead offering advice and background info on specific finds. Cuts a great deal and even walked me around to open up the bigger shop for a look in there too! Thank you very much for my new knives.
A very happy chef indeed.

I am almost afraid to leave a review as I dont want other people getting in here and buying all the best stuff! But the owner deserves it as he was excellent and very nice to me.
I dragged myself round about 5 antique shops in Prague from the Jewish quarter on down and this was the last place I went to and by far the best. I wished I had gone in sooner. Its a massive variety of things from all over the world, paintings, cutlery , pipes, statues etc etc. I was out of time but I wished I had been able to get more and next time I will come back and get more. There is an item I have even set my eye on now, in hope it will be there next time.
Its good quality stock so some of it is more expensive but there is something for all pockets here and also a good selection of retro/ vintage things that are always a good way into antiques in general. I got some very interesting Japanese erotic pocket sized sculptures that I am very pleased with and the owner even recommended a place to eat for me. Brilliant!

A hoarder's wet dream. An obsessive-compulsive's nightmare. A collector's paradise.
Bric-a-Brac is a gem in a world of ugly Old Town kitschy tourist souvenirs. There's barely enough room to walk around in the space. One person with a backpack would likely crash everything down. I'm fortunate I could slither into the "aisles" as it was just me while I was in serious contemplation mode.
Martin the shopkeep was there, something between keeping watch on me and eating his lunch behind the beaded curtain. He may come off as intimidating or unfriendly at first, but once I got to asking him about items he opened up and was extremely friendly.
If you're looking for specific things, you'll have to ask about them. I ended up purchasing an antique Czech fountain pen that he allowed me to test out and even gave me a discount.
Prices are on the higher side, probably because of location and gullible tourists, but it appears the items are authentic and not facsimiles.
Hope you left some space in your suitcase!

Unique items and knowledgeable, friendly owner. If you go to Prague, we highly recommend visiting this shop. We were not in the market to buy anything; however, we found a twenty-inch-tall cast iron painted figure of a Viking stamped “Made in England,” and when we laid eyes on him, we knew we had to buy him. Sure, he was expensive, but there are antiques you will never see again, and this was one of those items. Martin assured us he would ship it to the US, and two weeks later it arrived in great shape, packed like a pro. We are quite pleased with this purchase and this peculiar, well-organized shop is great fun to visit.

This is truly one of the most unique and interesting shops we found in Prague. It’s a very small shop, but fascinating items cover every surface of the place. Shopkeeper/owner, Martin, clearly knows the story behind every item (his English is excellent, which was very helpful) and he was a great consultative salesperson as I was hunting for a vintage Czech wristwatch.

I went to this shop, although the owner was vey helpful the prices for all the things in his shop (s ) were unbelievable, during the good 30 minutes I was in his 'main' shop a few people came in, no one bought anything. I went to Prague with the intention of going to this shop and spending a good deal of money, the prices were way over the top, bought nothing, it seems the owner is not interested in selling ?

Went to Bric a Brac twice. The first day I went I just went to the small front store. The next day I was excited to discover that there was a larger store in the walkway behind the store. Much more space and items. The owner was fantastic! He made me a cup of tea and shared some home made banana bread and great conversation. Loved it! My disappointment was that everything was soooooooooooo expensive and mostly unaffordable for me. The prices were at least twice or more than I would expect in other antique stores of similar type in other places. For instance I saw a custom “pearl” necklace that I would see for maybe $15-20 was $100. He has some great items, if yuu have the budget.
