we went there on Saturday when they have a typical medieval show going on with belly dancing, battle between knights with swords, fire blowing etc...the show is ok, maybe a little to long and it cost 200 czk (which you must pay). the food is ok, nothing special, lots of meat and potatoes, the tavern beer is really something special... We went there today after visiting the palace. It was lovely all very dark and based in medieval times everything done by candle light no lights at all. It was really well portrayed of the olden days. Really well done we only across it as we were walking down the hill and needed a a wee. What a excellent find... More

Excellent value, we paid £30pp for food and drinks and it keeps coming !! Food was good, salad and cheese first and then all kinds of meat like a proper banquet. Beer and wine as much as you can drink. Entertainment was good fun, a like random but great fun. We had a great night.

Booked this for the Saturday evening and paid for the all inclusive food and drinks package for around 1000czks. Plenty of food, unlimited red and white wine, beer and soft drinks. As there was 9 of us, it was bottles of wine we were getting rather individual glasses. Asked for more chicken rather than the other meats and a vegetarian... More

As the heading says. The food wasn't anything spectacular, but it was also quite cheap. The show was nice and entertaining.

We pre booked as advised as it was busy even in November. We were at the very ground level which was brilliant as you are sitting in a very dark cave only lit by candle light. The food was plentiful and very tasty and left you feeling very full. The entertainment was excellent and you are encouraged to participate in... More

Good show, in a great setting. Obviously it's a bit touristy, but it's not expensive and a great way to pass an evening. The food was good and the beer very good.

We had drinks and were going to eat but we're annoyed by the number of small flies which were everywhere and we had to keep fishing out of our drinks. The venue was lovely and very quaint and the prices reasonable but the insects need dealing with.

We stumbled upon this unusual tavern after visiting the Castle. It was an experience. We just had beer and cheese and bread. It was all good. The tavern itself is dark and dangerous. A must-see!

THE best place to go in Prague! We booked an option which included a few courses of food, unlimited refills on beer (which they put on your table without you having to ask), a fantastic live show in front of your table which spanned around 3 hours, it only came to around £30 each! It's the most unique location I've... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
