We did this tour in a small group of 4. Our guide, Mikhail, was a young history graduate from the city. He spoke very movingly about his experiences growing up in Prague and of his parents' life under communist rule. An interesting walk around some key sights was followed by a short tram ride to a nuclear bunker. Having enjoyed... More

First went on the Communism and nuclear bunker tour. Followed by the underground tour which we had discount off because of the first tour. Nuclear tour first hour was of the Czech history and walk around town. I felt quite sad at the things that these poor people have experienced. Then a tram (ticket included in price) to the bunker.... We went on the Communism and Nuclear Bunker tour which was run by a tour guide named Ales, very helpful and answered any questions we had. He went into lots of detail about how Communism had been run in the Czech Republic, then followed a tram ride to the nuclear bunker location, included in the price (which gave me my... More

Katerina gave us a wonderful communism tour of Prague. She was there for the Velvet Revolution and her knowledge brought the past to life. Don't miss this tour when in Prague

I went on the Communism and Nuclear Bunker Tour which was really interesting. The Guide, Ivan, was very skilful in telling the story about Czech history. The tour started with a walk around the city were Ivan showed us some places tourists often miss, and we finished it with a visit to one of the Nuclear Bunkers in Prague. This... More

We went on the Communism and Nuclear Bunker Tour. Our guide was Katerina who was very knowledgeable and provided a great insight to the countries dark history. Katerina delivered this in a fun and humorous way, which made the tour even more interesting. This is a tour highly recommended whilst you are in Prague.

Jan our guide was highly informative and enthusiastic and gave us an understanding of some of the more recent and sad history of Prague. He was also an amusing guide and had the various nationalities competing to answer questions. The tour was about a serious topic but we managed to learn some history in a fun way. This was a... I thought the tour was very good - it was longer, including a ride on the tram to visit the cold war bunker - but the guide, Jacob, was knowledgeable about the subject of communism and time went by quickly. It was a little out of the ordinary for a tour in Prague but I really appreciated learning more about... More

Great guide! Interesting to get a look in local microbreweries of Prague and the beer was actually pretty good as well. Definitely worth the money if you are a beer lover Only downside was the lack of girls ;)

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
