We visited this market together with my wife during our stay in Prague. This market available since 1232 and it's a really fantastic fact. However mostly you can buy stuff specialized for tourists so it's a little bit disappointing. Anyway worth to spend some time here.

This is an excellent Sunday market to buy anything from trinkets, local made momentos, paintings and much more. The price is reasonable and itr' not far from the main square. I was here last Sunday with my buddies and their wives and had some good bargains

A market on a pedestrian street with lots of unremarkable souvenirs. The food tends to be overprices relative to other venues.

We randomly stumbled across this awesome market on our first day in Prague and found some gorgeous images of animals painted in vibrant colours. We wanted one but wanted to come back another day, unfortunately we couldn't find the market again which was gutting. Would advise anyone to go there it's such a nice place. P. S if anyone stumbles... More

Havelska Market is an area with little vendors ranging from dancing puppets to food to all sorts of little things to try and buy. It is a must see if you like outdoor little markets. In a great area/location of Prague. The street next to it has tons of shopping! The fruit/berries specially were ripe and delicious. I tried dried... More

A lot of souvenirs, mostly all sellers propose the same range of goods. Don't buy sweets in boxes - it's very probvably that you'll find a single small piece of chocolate of below average quality in box (this was quite disappointing when we opened such box at home). Despite of that, this is a good place to buy standart set... More

This little market has a range of items from your usual touristy items (magnets/post cards etc.) to fantastic looking fruit, spice mixes and art work. The traders are all very smiley and the prices are very reasonable. It isn't huge and only takens about 10 minutes to walk around it but it's good for a nice little stroll after lunch.

If you are going to an attraction that you have mapped or laid out, and we're not happy with what you saw or found, then the word is ...Disappointed. But if you just happen to pass a site and stop to browse, maybe buy something or not, and then move on, it should be considered as an additional treat from... More

Was rather hoping this might be a proper "local" market, but it's just a collection of outdoor tourist orientated stalls selling the sort of brightly coloured junk at inflated prices available anywhere in the city. Don't bother unless it's on your route walking through from one place to another.

Thank Kevin P

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
