Visited here in December and it was a hive of activity with shoppers, tourists and street performers. It is a wide and quite modern shopping area and is quite a contrast to the older part of Prague. There is a wide range of stores from the up market to the lower end as well as many cafes and restaurants. You... More

The street is full with brand stores and cheap stores as H&M. There are few fast food restaurants as Subway, TGI Friday and so on. There are couple of Curtush places. There is even a Cinema City there. The market is 2 minutes walking from the street.

Average shopping street for a major city. I would definitely recommend Moser Crystal for actual authentic Czech crystal. It is leagues away from the glass junk they sell in Old Town stores. Worth it if only to window shop.

Looking for shopping in Prague? This is a street for you. All shopping brands are here in very attractive buildings. Good fusion of shopping and architecture.

I like this street. From Powder Tower, walk to your left, Celetna is the street on the right. This is a wide pedestrian street, great for strolling at a leisurly pace. Shopping, restaurants, cafes, fast food kiosks, trees and benches. It will take you to Mustek subway stop and the beginning of Wencelas Square. Be sure to look up at... More

This is one of the main thoroughfares through the city, which links the two best known Squares - Old Town and Wenceslas. You would then be hard pushed not to spend at least some time here, even if just passing through. Lined with shops and restaurants on both sides, both local and international, I guess you could call it Prague's... More

If you enjoy shopping then you must visit this street - It truly is a 'Shoppers haven!' It is a little way down from Republic Square and the Powder Tower. Here you can find Chain stores, restaurants and shopping centres. An opportunity to obtain all your gifts, or indeed, splurge on oneself!

A beautiful pedestrian's wide street, not very long, from Powder Gate next to the Municipal House, up to Wenceslas square. Lined with modern shops, restaurants, food stalls and famous brands chain stores. Toys? Surprise!!! Hamleys in a 2 flight well equipped shop. Na Prikope Street not to be missed.

One of the widest and nicest streets in the old town with nice restaurants, fast food chains and shops. You could find a selection of everyday brands like Zara, Mango, Adidas, Nike, Pandora and much more all in one place in such exquisite buildings. There was a branch of the American toy store Hamley's there with two floors of fun... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
