The church is very pretty but disappointing they didn't mention that the main fresco is being renovated and under cover until we had paid the entrance fee!

The main ceiling frescoes are being refurbished and are covered. There are some pictures available but the majesty and impact is diluted. The chapels are stunning and the scale and dominance of the altar are breathtaking. We also attended an evening classical recital at this...More

We have seen the church already at our former Prague visits. This time we were not willing to pay an entrance fee, for something, which is just folded and repaired!

Got there late afternoon and was pleased to see that last admissions were 5:45 closing at 6. I asked for the 5:45 ticket. The miserable nun behind the kiosk snapped "Last visit. Left!" Upon entering the church a security guard stamped straight up to me...More

The Baroque church is beautiful! Watched an awesome flute concert. Felt like I was in heaven! The place is 3 minutes walk to the tram station.

We happened to be walking around the city and decided to stop in. There was a classical concert there (free) by what appeared to be a college-age orchestra. Perfect acoustics and a flawless performance in an amazing setting!

While the surrounding area for the church is beautiful, the place itself is so-so. The charge of 70 Kronos per person does not seen justifiable.

What you are suggesting would be very appropriate for most concerts at St. Nicholas' church. Definitely no shorts.
