If you are in Prague you should start yoursightseeing in the Old Town - walking from one square to another through the romantic and narrow streets with a lot of coat of arms on the houses. Do not miss the Old New Synagogue, Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock. Through the Charles Bridge you can get to “Malá Strana“ to... More

Many streets with many pubs, restaurants, souvenir shops, museums, historical buildings, many people as well and quite a lot baggers, but this is the same pretty much in all cities' historical centres. There is really a lot to see, you can reach the city centre very easily by metro or tram. They go every 4 minutes during weekdays and every... More

If you are looking for a great experience then I would recommend that Prague be on your list of Europe's city's to explore. We had a great time with the old town being our center of operation. There are plenty of hotels, restaurants, bars, and unique activities to keep anyone occupied for several days if not a week. We spent... More

One day is definitely not enough for the beautiful city of Prague. A weekend could have been better. Beautiful city with a lot of history. One of the cities in Central Europe to have survived 2. world war so well, yet with a lot of drama. You will definitely appreciate the history so do take one of the guided tours.... More

Although there are quite a few tourist shops in downtown, there is still a lot to see. The old St. Nicolas church is near old town and is a wonderful place to visit. Free entry and a beautiful piece of history.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
