Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

While we where walking around this superb area of the old town we went to U Kunštátů on Rětězova for a few craft beers. This is an excellent craft beer bar that's located in a fantastic area of Staré Město and its a bar that's well worth a visit if your interested in craft beer's.
Located in the heart of the old town in one of the period building that has an amazing courtyard. The inside is amazing with a bar area and a superb room just past the main bar. There are superb fixtures and features throughout the whole interior and there's a cellar area that has a (UNESCO) protected Romanesque ruin that date's from 1120 and it looks amazing.
We visited here late in the afternoon and it wasn't that busy but it had just opened. On our trip we had a couple of glasses of beer from a Czech craft beer brewery. The beers we had where brilliant and surprisingly well priced considering the beer's that we were having and the place we were in.
This is a fantastic craft beer bar that's in a superb area of the old town and well worth visiting if your around this excellent area of Staré Město). This is my second review of U Kunštátů).
Opening Hours.
Monday-Sunday-14.00-23.00.

What a find this place was during a long weekend in Prague!
Friendly service, amazing craft beer, served in beautiful bar area and courtyard.
We visited twice and on the second occasion we tried the beer tasting session.
If you enjoy craft beer and keen to learn and try new beers, this is a must. A really good selection of beers to try, a little food and a very friendly and knowledgable member of staff takes you through all things BEER.
The guy that took the session was brilliant, thank you!
Highly recommended.

A bit of the beaton track but you must visit this place. I was overwhelmed by choice. The staff are great, food looked different but really good. The dark strawberry 9/10, the dark plum 8.5/10 and the Raspberry sour 7/10. I really like this place and this is another one that will get multiple visits.

We enjoyed one of the beer tasting sessions with Jacob (probably incorrectly spelt, sorry). He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very personable. Thanks for the great evening, we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed several hours in this bar trying all the different beers and just enjoying life. The guys really care about beer and want you to try and enjoy new beers, I'm sorry, I dont know your names but you were all great. Well Done! Another reason to love Prague.

The beer tasting was great. "George" knew what he was talking about. Can recommend the beer tasting. A reservation in beforehand is recommended.

Stopped in for a beer on my last evening in Prague. Left after having 4... Each one delicious. Bar tender was the best, recommended appropriate beers for your taste. Cool place, kinda quiet, but definitely stop in for a beer. (Or 4)

Tucked away is this beer 'cafe' offering beer tasting set just above Roman caverns used in WW II as air raid shelters. Very cool considering all and the staff were very pleasant and chatty. This place was unassuming yet awe inspiring for those history and beer geeks.

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the best craft beer bars is located in the heart of the Old Town namely U Kunstatu .
This is an awesome bar,the interior is fantastic, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking circular serving bar and theres plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside in their cool courtyard, one of the most defining features of this bar is the 12th century Romanesque cellar that the staff will let you visit .
We were here on a lovely sunny afternoon, we sat in the courtyard were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a beer flight each ,this consisted of six beers each ,we let the barman who spoke impeccable English choose our beers and after a short wait our beers arrived and his choice was outstanding.
All my beers were first rate ,amber beer was superb, ipa's were outstanding, a lager style beer was refreshing as was a fruit beer but the pick of the bunch was a dark, malty stout ,this was just a joy to drink ,while working my way through my beer flight I went down to the Romanesque cellar and took in the great look and age of this amazing 12th century cellar.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
U Kunstatu Craft Beer Bar is easy to locate on a street called Retezova in the Old Town, an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, 2pm till 11pm.
A great craft beer bar, if your in the area well worth checking out.
