Stopped off here whilst we were on the ILike EBikes tour. The food in the picture cost 70kc (£2.20) and their own beer which they only brew and sell on site cost 40kc (1.26) for a small. Would recommend!

Best Beer! They had different varieties and I went for a semi dark and wasn't disappointed. Best food! I had a roasted pork knuckle. It was huge but it was so good that I ate everything hahaha Pricey but I'll go back anytime :-)

A very authentic place with exelent beer and local food. Big table you can share with others and it adds to the fun. We had a goulash soop and a goolash with dumplings Try it.

Too far out of the way, especially on a cold day! You leave the castle area and walk through a very touristy, bus filled, crowd clogged area to get here. Hint: if you do decide to go, veer to the left when you first enter the monastery area. We did not find this to be especially good. Being from the... More

One of the most amazing places in Prague. Look for a Strahov Monastic Brewery & enjoy it. You can find: 1) restaurant; 2) pub (always fulfilled); ------------ Photo from the restaurant.

So far this has been the best brewery we've visited in CZE. The Czech style lagers are of course up to snuff, but then the two IPAs and the dunkel that were also on tap really stand out in the land of similar lager styles. Oh and the lunch we had was very good and paired fine with the beer.... More

This is not worth going out of your way for. I cannot believe the service at this place. My husband and I walked all the way here from Old Town (about a 30 minute walk) because we were recommended it as a cute old monastery well-known for the beer brewing for hundreds of years. What a disgrace - The service... More

After ending our half-day walking tour to the Prague Castle we stopped into the Brewery to taste the beer. The beer was good (we are not fond of the pilsner's) and hot chocolate was warm and tasty. We sat outside with the heaters to avoid the crowds and stayed warm. Good value and the staff was friendly and made an... More

This was a disappointing visit as arrived to find restaurant shut for a function and the bar too full to sit and drink or eat. Tip is to check restaurant is open. However, did sample the St Norbert Beer which was tasty. Easy to walk to from the Castle and work up an appetite. The bar was in a nice... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
