First of all, my TIP how to get here. I must recommend everybody to get there by the historical Tram no. 41, because its only one historical Tram you can get really in, one direction ride is for 35 CZK (about 1,50 EUR)/1 person and last stop of tram is in front of entrance to the museum. Ticket price ise... More

The last time we visited Prague it was Sunday and the museum was not open. This time we came on a Saturday and got the bonus of going on the 91 nostalgia tram. The museum has a great number of old trams as far back as a horse drawn vehicle. They have been carefully restored and you can see the... More

I really enjoyed this museum, despite the fact that nothing was in a language I understand. They do offer you an English brochure that kinda explains 10% of the museum at the entry, but I quickly discarded mine to frolic among the trams and make up my own stories behind the impressive collection of documents and photos along the walls.... Located not in the very city center, but right near the tram 22 stop. Lots of old trams, few buses, well-preserved and restored, plenty of information on the public transport system in general - like old tickets or advertisements. Tram ride on historical tram also available from nearby stop (just follow the sign). Good selection of books on transportation in... More

My title says it all really. I enjoyed the first 10 minutes but then I'd got bored and all trams and buses began to look the same. My boyfriend absolutely loved it though. There are things to buy like models and books (but they're in Czech so if you don't understand Czech then I wouldn't buy one!). Went to the... More

First of all, this place is very reasonably situated next to a tram stop, and the entrance is easy to locate. The museum is filled with old trams from the 1900s right up to the 1980s, with a couple of buses being visible too. The only small issue I had was the lack of English on the information boards on... Very low price for entry, but is only hall with old public transport vehicles and tram. Missing something interactive, because all vehicles are locked. In the museum area you may find station for sightseeing tour by old tram across Prague, but ticket for ride for my surprise isn't included in the price, nevertheless is amazing.

The Střešovice depot is a smallish museum with nice displays (not much in English). It was very interesting to see the development of public transportation in Prague. And I have a new found respect for Škoda. We went on a special tram ride in a wonderful, fully restored tram from 1910. It was a real pleasure - beautifully built and... More
