If you're not an aficionado of beer, you might not enjoy this museum, but as a home brewer myself I always take the time to visit this kind of place, and this one did not disappoint. There was a lot of information about the beer making process, with a bit of an emphasis on the traditional Czech process and how... More

Never thought that Czech Republic could have such a beer culture, which is amazing, the beers are just the best. After realizing they was a beer museum I decided to visit and I got a surprised on how tidy, clean, well organized the museum is. On the top you will have some historical objects and then in the underground floor... More

A small museum that finishes off with a trip down to the cellar for beer tasting (some strong beers) a bit of history of Czech Beer and a very sociable atmosphere for tasting afterwards with some good size mugs of beer. Well worth a visit and an afternoon of drinks 🍻

This bears repeating and re-repeating. The default Google Maps result for Beer Museum will take you to a mediocre tourist pub. You MUST search for "Czech Beer Museum" to get the right directions. Once you're here, it's nice - a few rooms of beer history, some hops and malt you can smell and taste, some exhibits of beer-making equipment through... More

Just finished our "tour". Although it is self guided, we prefer this than taking the slow pace of a guide. Some interesting facts & history of beer, but more importantly, for less than £20 a couple,we tried 4 beers set in recreated Czech pubs. Great way to spend a couple of hours after walking around the city

Great selection of 4 Czech beers at the end in the cellar! Did the 'sort yourself' tour which took us around 1.5hrs reading up on beer and czech beer production. Worth a visit, we enjoyed it after all the sight seeing it made a nice change. Recommend a visit and especially if weathers rubbish!

We enjoyed visiting! It is a bit tucked away and we found it by chance but it was worth the cost to get in. You get to learn about the history of making beer in the country. I feel it should have included a little more in the tour. However, the samples at the end (four rather large ones) make... More

The museum is overpriced for what it offers. The best part was the beer tasting and I could have paid just for that and it would've been way cheaper.

A lovely little attraction to have a wander around during the day. The actual museum was small but packed with good information that both a beer novice and expert would enjoy. The highlight is the underground pub where you try 4 different types of beer (all included in the ticket price) explained by very knowledgable staff. Highly recommend a visit!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
