Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing range of artisan chocolates at Prague Steiner & Kovarik made us go crazy! They were all extremely tasty. They appeared like Chocolate truffles and chocolates dusted with flavoured powders and slabs. Moringa leaf powder, Pistachio, Almond centres, Blue berries, Cherries to name a few were extraordinary. Chocolate tasting and selection helped us to pick what we liked most though it was not an easy task as all of them had their own unique characters which we liked. We loved the hot chocolate drink and greatly enjoyed the Chocolate Beer which was absolutely novel to us. We thought it is a "must to visit venue" if you are in Prague.

Amazing hot chocolate. Perfect for a late night walk around Old Town. Went quite late and only for the hot chocolate which didn't disappoint. Only a small cup but it was soooo chocolately, you don't need much

Prague is famous for its chocolate and I was hooked when I tasted the chilli chocolate. The lovely assistant let us try many of the different flavours before we bought tins of chocolate to bring home as gifts. Well worth a visit.

The ability to try so many flavour and to be able to choose the best that matches my taste.
The hot cups of chocolate that we had on a very cold day and the best thing was the man behind the counter, very helpful and friendly.

Walking down Nerudova as the snow fell after visiting the magical Prague Castle Christmas Market my twin brother Ste and I dropped into Prague Chocolate Steiner & Kovarik ,been here before ,always enjoyed our visit and so it proved on our latest visit.
This is only a small cafe but it's cool ,warm and inviting ,great decor and furnishings and a wonderful location .
We ordered a hot chocolate each ,served steaming hot ,we chilled out, warmed up and enjoyed our chocolates.
I must say the hot chocolate was amazing ,so tasty ,thick, creamy and very warming ,it was just what we needed .
We really enjoyed our chocolates in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Prague Chocolate Steiner & Kovarik is easy to locate along Nerudova .
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday,10am till 6pm.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area

My very good friend brought few different flavours of chocolates (Almond, coffee, orange and raisins and cinnamon)from this place when he went to Prague for holidays. I have to say these are the best chocolates I have ever eaten and of course my Mrs is a big chocolate lover and she loved it so much.
I have no words to describe the taste and I would say if you are a chocolate lover you would have to try these chocolates. Truly amazing .

If you go anywhere in Prague, you have to go here! Anything with the word chocolate is a definite lure, but this place is very special. The chocolate is amazing, and you can try all their different flavoured chocolate coated almonds. But the best bit is the hot chocolate, which is the most delicious drink I have ever tasted. Pure liquid chocolate….. pure liquid heaven! Not outrageously priced either.

Visited this cafe with my 3 teenagers. We are all chocolate lovers, and was tempted by recommendations from Tripadvisor saying “Pragues’ best hot chocolate”. We got a small hot chocolate in this boring cafe and it was fat and thick - really a “heavy”experience. Not recommendable. Had also expected a wide range of chocolate and cakes, but it was a very small cafe, very limited selection only 2 other guests. Go to any other cafe for hot chocolate and other chocolate menus

Dear customer, we are sorry for your experience. You are right that our chocolate is very thick because it is made from real chocolate with just a little bit of cream, so it is practicaly as if you melt a bar of chocolate. As you you say we are a small café, but always fresh. Right above this café is also a shop with our chocolate where you could choose from more then a 100 products. Unfortunately after many lock downs we are struggelling vith amount of customers, so our offer must be limited during the week. Sincerely, Silvie

Honestly the best hot chocolate that we've ever tasted. We didn't go to this location, but went to the location that's on the stairs on the way up to the entrance to the castle. It's a hole-in-the-wall place that's an offshoot of this place. Same chocolate, same awesome service.
