I love having brunch in this place! However, it is a bit too expensive and the lack of lighting puts you to sleep. I mean, it's a very cool place to chill, but in a city like Prague, where there isn't much light during the winter months, you need more artificial lighting!

Nice, reasonably priced food & nice atmosphere. Went there twice and didn't get disappointed. Delicious American pancakes!

The Globe Bookstore & Café in the center of Prague is one of these great fusion coffee shops, where the atmosphere is one of a kind in terms of that you also go there for the atmosphere and not only for the delicious food, they serve here. So the food they offer here at the Globe ranges from soup over... More

We wanted to play one of their board games as we had done before. This was our 3rd time back. However, since it was a projection night with a lot of people (a lot of people around) serving was slow. Moreover, we preferred food from next door but drinks from the Globe and kindly asked if we could sit next... More

Everyone recommends Globe. As a family staying on the same street we ventured there twice and were disappointed on both occasions. The rear terrace/garden is hardly atmospheric with a view of elevators and bins. Brunch, which comes highly recommended it seems, was lacklustre; generous in portions but eggs benedict for my wife and I were served lukewarm with cold hash... More

Globe Bookstore and Café is a first class café which was opened in 1993 and was Prague's first and in many peoples opinion best English language bookstore.A fairly large interior with great seating options on two levels with lots of books on shelves and art work adorning the walls it also has a large screen that was showing the Euro... I studied in Prague for months and lived on the same street as Globe but didn't visit until May. I definitely made up for lost time and went multiple times a week. Their bookstore is perfect for browsing and sitting to study because it's quiet and I've taken many friends to the back for their food. It was so nice... More

Visited here after a night out in Prague. Globe offers great breakfast options from pancakes to eggs to a fully cooked breakfast. I went for the lumberjack option which was a cooked breakfast accompanied by french toast which was exactly what I needed after a night out. Even the food was good service was pretty slow so if you're not... More

Sought this out as heard good things about it and very glad I did. Great menu for lunch, reasonable prices and comfortable seating. English widely spoken and not rushed out. Ended up going twice so that is a sign of a great place.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
