Don't ever go to Terezin without having Pavel

I am a solo Hong Kong teacher who have visited Auschwitz, so I doubted whether I should go to "another concentration camp again". But for some reason, I decided to go and booked a tour with Pavel. I would say, I am so glad I made this decision. I rarely prefer "tours" as they can be tacky and commercialised. Pavel... More

I was fortunate to take the route from Dresden down to Prague before heading to Auschwitz. Terezin lies between Dresden and Prague, but unfortunately it is not very convenient as the nearest train station is in Litomerice, which is a distance from Terazin. Which is the reason why we engaged the services of Pavel Batel, who unfortunately wasn't available on... More

I had a good experience visiting Terezin - there is a lot to see and learn about. The staff was very helpful and I enjoyed each of the museums on the site. I would recommend though that any visitor get a tour guide. Without one, you can be left wandering, looking at things and not knowing what they are.

The tour was well organized and informative. The tour bus left at 9am and didn't get back until 2pm. The Terezin Concentration Camp is not a happy place. Our hearts felt very heavy during the entire tour; however, it's important for us to understand the sufferings during those dark days of our history. The tour guide at the Little Fortress... More

Many weeks have passed since our visit to Prague - but the memory of our time with Pavel is still vivid as present day. Many months of planning went into this journey - and at the onset of this process, I made my first contact with Pavel by email. Pavel's reply was brief and to the point - confirming a... More

My friends and I booked Pavel Batel based on the excellent reviews he received on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed. Pavel's knowledge and passion came through clearly, and he left no stone un-turned. For a full day he took us to every corner of Terezin and gave us an insightful and fascinating explanation of everything we saw. This... More

Have just returned to our Prague accommodation from the day tour to Terezin organised by Sandemans Tours. Very much a full day trip. Meet at Market Square at 10am. Very organised and efficient. Introduced to our guide Tijo who is from Holland with perfect English. Turns out just the two of us booked so pretty much a private tour. Walk... More

Always wanted to go to one of these camps to get some information about the history of the event. I was truly inspired and enjoyed the tour and our guide was very knowledgeable and open to questions from the group at any time. Highly recommend to anyone. Also good to try new things.

Our recent tour to Terezin with Pavel was one of the best tours I've experienced in my many travels. From start to finish the day was highly informative and Pavel took care of all the details from prompt pick up at our hotel at 9AM to drop off in late afternoon. Pavel takes you on an immersive and emotional tour... More
