We spent a very informative day visiting Terezin with Wittmann Tours. Our guide Vida, gave us much information on the history of the town and events that took place here during WWII. It was an emotional day as she shared her own family's connection to the camp and gave us personal insight in the life of the prisoners. We were... More

Pavel is extremely knowledgeable and delightful. While the subject matter of the tour is very intense it is very important for all of us to remember what did and what could happen.

You should make the time during a trip to Prague to tour Terezin. We had an excellent small group tour with Pavel Batel which was excellent - he really helped to put the war, culture, ghetto and prison into perspective with detailed and personal historical accounts. He will arrange pick up, drop off and lunch.

What a memorable and moving experience to tour such a significant place with such an amazing tour guide. Pavel Batel is not your typical tour guide -- he is a scholar who has dedicated his research and life's work to bringing Terezin to life for visitors (and through his books and documentaries). He is exceedingly knowledgeable and passionate about Terezin... More

I visited the Terezin Memorial site as a side trip while in Prague. You can take a tour, or you can go by local bus or rental car. I took the local bus as I prefer to be on my own schedule. It's a very sad place to visit but I highly recommend going. It's important for us to never... More

On our recent trip to Prague, my husband and I decided along with to take a day away from the city to see Teresienstadt. Three other couples made us a group of 8. Pavel picked us up at our hotel at 8:30AM on the designated date (10/19/15) and returned us to our hotel around 5:00PM. This turned out to be... More

If you have an interest in World War II this is an extremely worthwhile trip. Thankfully we went with Pavel Batel who's knowledge of Terezin is second to none. He collected us from our hotel and very quickly started describing events in Prague during the war and how Terezin was established. Pavel describes the history of Terezin and the horrendous... More

After reading other very positive reviews, I googled Pavel Batel and was able to book his tour for the day we preferred. His tour included all of the sights, large and small, in the Terezin area: museums, large and small fortresses, crematorium, various kinds of the actual living quarters of the Jews in this concentration camp. He made very clear... More

The town of Terezin was used during WWII as a concentration camp for the exploitation and murder of Czech Jews. Although a thoroughly depressing place it exudes mystery and history. We visitedn Remembrance Day which made this a poignant place to remember the fallen of WWII. Even though the town is inhabited it still has an eerie feel to it

Please visit, do not use a tour, you can do this via a bus service which takes you there and you can then take your time, with the museum, buildings, cemetery and small fort
