Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Here we found so much nature and history connected: plus, the city itself is cozy and clean.
The park is worth visiting, particularly, regarding the spectrum of plants.
Nice place just a few steps from Bratislava

The gardens are fantastic, you can spend a whole day wandering there. Parking is a bit expensive. It is worth visiting.

What an amazing place! The gardens are incredible and the inside of the castle was amazing. Since we don't speak Slovak, they handed us an English guide while we followed a Slovak tour through the palace. It had interesting facts on it. We recommend finding the Birds of Prey show on the grounds and paying to see that. It was out of this world!!!

A great castle placed in a small beautiful village.
We bought tickets for the inside tour upfront on internet and we really enjoyed it. The visit took 45 minutes and was very interesting.
The French and English gardens are really worth the walk.
If you have time you should visit the minaret tower and go for the small boat ride. You can definitely enjoy a great day with the family here.

Pretty castle and grounds. Inside was very pretty. I believe we did the apartment tour. Crazy busy as they were only open on weekends starting in October. Women selling tour tickets should know basic English as this is a big tourist spot.

We went on a Monday when the castle is often closed, but enjoyed exterior, gardens and peaceful and beautiful walk (about 3km, good under foot and flat) right around lake. Well maintained (no hang-ups about gardeners gardening, with or without machinery - that’s what gardeners do (usually in gardens) and plenty for bird-lovers or plant-lovers to enjoy. Ornamental gardens equally enjoyable. Tomorrow we take in the interior! Plenty of loos, coffee, ice cream, post cards and wine close by - but not masses of entertainment esp for children on a Monday! Great day out, and for hopeless linguists like us, all young Czech staff seem to talk fine English!!!

We went twice, the first time in the rain, the second when it was sunny. The gardens are very nice, and we wish we had more time to explore them when it wasn't raining. We did not see the inside of the chateau because the only tours available at all were in Czech, despite the fact that their website says they offer tours in other languages. Another problem is that they only had availability a few hours later. I recommend that you book your tour ahead of time if you can. There are restaurants nearby, and there was a parking lot that we used that charged 60 kc, but it had to be in coins, so plan accordingly. We saw lots of cyclists in the area, so it seems like a great area to tour by bicycle.

I really enjoyed the chateau and its surroundings — they are definitely reminding of British palaces and villas like Strawberry Hill, even have a little bit of Downton Abbey vibe. Must see for 19th century history, Neo-Gothic style and romanticism era fans living in or visiting the South Moravian Region.

However, I was outraged by the noises. Not only these made by crowds of tourists but also machines like tractors or huge mowers in the historic gardens. I'm wondering who thought that it was a good idea to do such workings at noon time in the middle of high season! I know, the staff members have to do such things to preserve the good condition of the monument, but why they are choosing time like that? I went there to relax close to history and nature. I got terrible, constant noises and views destroyed by machines. Highly disappointed.

Place worth visiting. Beautiful halls, full of historic artefacts, lovely gardens and nice walk around the lake make it great choice for visiting. Only price could be a bit lower. Everything is paid, from parking to view tower (minaret). And very difficult to find a good place to eat around.

An impressive, beautiful castle located in a huge domain including gardens, monuments, park, forest, water channels, cycling routes, etc. In addition, there are a lot of things going on around the castle: exhibitions, bird shows, horse and carriage trips. One can easily spent a pleasant day (there are also some bars and restaurants)
The access to the domain is free of charge. There are some parking lots (on is huge but it was still crowded), the cost was 50 Check crowns for a whole day (until midnight).
