If you only half half an hour in Gdansk this is where you want to spend it. I've been lucky enough to visit when it's warm and when cold and both are great Take a walk up and down the embankment to take in the...More

You can enjoy a stroll along the embankment and they have lots of places to eat and shop alongside. A pleasant afternoon can spent on hire boats or kayaks as you take to the water for a new perspective. Fun!

The Motlawa River Embankment is a great place to go for a walk in both the day and night as is very picturesque. I would avoiding eating or drinking here as it is a lot cheaper to do this on some of the side streets.

Bus tours park in the vicinity and, to cross over and through to the Old Town sections, one must transverse the embankment area. But it is a nice piece of terrain to travel. Farmers Market stalls line the area, tourist-y boat rides can be had,...More

Very pretty Riverside and walks in city centre Gdansk. Good vibe and atmosphere and plenty of nice bars and restaurants and also a few tourist shops. Gates lead to the other streets nearby and also to Długa Tag. Worth a visit.

Nice walk down the riverside which contains historic buldings, nice cafes and good restaurants. Take a trip on the river on a old fashioned "pirate" ship

Very busy water front during the day with many people coming for the restaurants and pleasure boats, or just to walk along the shops and bars, whilst peering through the arch way entrances to the old town, many historical buildings also including the old granary.

Worth doing in both the evening and the day time. That way you get totally independent impressions. Have a drink near the new pedestrian bridge down stream from the old crane. You can do a circuit by crossing the bridge in the wind half hour...More
