You can enjoy a stroll along the embankment and they have lots of places to eat and shop alongside. A pleasant afternoon can spent on hire boats or kayaks as you take to the water for a new perspective. Fun!
The Motlawa River Embankment is a great place to go for a walk in both the day and night as is very picturesque. I would avoiding eating or drinking here as it is a lot cheaper to do this on some of the side streets.

Very busy water front during the day with many people coming for the restaurants and pleasure boats, or just to walk along the shops and bars, whilst peering through the arch way entrances to the old town, many historical buildings also including the old granary.
