The Castle of Pomeranian Dukes is not like other old castles in Europe, decorated to the period and kept this way. Instead it houses a restaurant, a cinema and a decent gift shop. Various temporary exhibitions and displays of art take place in other rooms of the castle. In summer, concerts and opera are held in the courtyard. The Castle... More

Unless we missed it there isn't much here. Not much to see. Certainly not a castle like those in England. We were only there about 30-45 mins. Didn't pay to go up the observatory desk. Didn't see the point when been up to cafe 22 in the main town centre. Disappointing.

The castle itself is not all that exciting. For 6 zlotys you can however walk up the bell tower, and enjoy a view over the city.

Beautiful place but was unfortunately when I got to go. I went on a Monday but it was closed. Was disappointed so make sure that you check the times etc when it's opened.

I love architecture and atmosphere in here. But best of all is viewpoint tower, it is the only viewpoint not glass covered as all the rest of them have windows, here you are on top with fresh air and beautiful views, even for that itself I would recommend as it was only 1.5 euro per person to get in upstairs.... Very interesting glimpse at the architecture of another century. In the courtyard is a stage for outdoor concerts. The opera is there and a couple restaurants. The view from up on the wall is great!

A very old castle in Szczecin , the build was finished in 1428 , took some damage in Second World War and got rebuild again so now you can actually go to the top of the tower that offers an amazing view over the city of Szczecin, definitely worth a visit

We went into the building, but were unable to ramble around. They were having an event - a wedding! We did buy tickets to go up to the viewing area and see the city. It was fun to glimpse the bride as well. There is a very interesting restaurant attached to the castle - I cannot find its name, however!... More
