I took a Delux Communism tour with Karolina. I only went as a Polish friend said she had heard of it and wanted to go the next time she was in Kraków. I am so glad she mentioned it as it truly was excellent. Karolina met me at my apartment and from that instant, it felt as though I was... More

I had booked onto the Communism Deluxe tour before arriving in Krakow and was not disappointed! I was picked up from my hotel in a green Trabant driven by the bubbly and knowledgeable Kornelia. She was extremely friendly and showed us all around Nowa Huta taking us to a local cafe and milk bar as well as taking us to... More

We did this tour with Maschek (sorry not sure of spelling). He gave us a great tour and lots of info about Krakow during the communist years. Went for a coffee in a very interesting cafe in Nowa Huta, lunch in a milk bar which was very tasty, extremely cheap and the place was packed. After lunch it was off... More

We took 2 crazy guides tours while visiting Krakow. The Communism Deluxe tour was excellent, the other... not as good. This tour was NOT 4 hours as advertised, and neither was the poorer tour. That is annoying to me, as a 'get what you pay for' type of person. I don't think there is any intention to have this tour... More

She took us out to the bright green Trabant and what a hoot getting in and off we went . From the moment we got in car she did not stop talking but in a lovely way... More

Picked up by a vivacious young guide in a green Trabant, we were whisked off to the Nowa Huta district, on the eastern edge of the city, a utopian propaganist project, set up under Stalin, and based, with its grand apartments, broad avenues, on despised western cities to show that the workers here lived like the bourgeoisie in those places.... We are just back from enjoying the communism deluxe tour with Isobelle in the bright green Trabant. This tour was recommended to us by friends who said it was by far the BEST thing they did during their trip- and I can totally see why, as we can now say the same. It was excellent. It exceeded our expectations, the... More

We went on a communism tour to nowa huta as it sounded just up our street. We were picked up in a trabant at our hotel on time and it was epic to ride around in the car! Loved it. Seeing nowa huta was excellent and it really added to the experience to have a guide with us who was... More

Fantastic way to see the old communist part of Krakow known as Nova Hwta , picked up outside the hotel in an green Trabant an experience in itself. A wonderful driver/guide drove us out of the city to Nova Hwta where we visited some of the main thoroughfares and squares , had a drink in an old communist bar and... More

We did the communism deluxe tour with Isobelle and enjoyed it immensely. She was very informative and took us around Nawa Huta which was absolutely fascinating. We were also shown a Nawa Huta propaganda video in a communist style apartment which gave you a real insight into living in those times. A real fun and quirky tour - thank you... More
