Walking through Planty Park, passing the Barbican and entering the Main Square was a really nice way to start each day in Krakow! A really picturesque little archway with lots of history. Typically there are artists selling their work and musicians busking and in the walk through. In terms of a visit, it only takes a couple of minutes or... More

We were very surprised to see the McDonald's next to the gate. You can just see the golden arch sign in the photo. It is a narrow street leading to the gates - you sort of stumble upon it. If you don't look up you could miss the gate completely. Lots of shops on the street - busy street not... More

At the far end of Krakow town, worth the walk along main street leading up to gate, steeped in history as this is where kings & queens entered the main town along to the castle, the pope also travelled through here on his pagan visit,

When you are in old town you have to take a stroll from Main Square through Florianska street where at the end you will encounter Saint Florian's Gate in all its glory. It used to be official entry to Krakow connected to Barbican. Right now you can explore it and see the view of the neighbourhood streets from the defensive... More

St. Florian`s Gate is one of the best-known Polish Gothic towers. It`s a good place for making photos, so if you are a photo lover and would like to take a nice shoot for your portfolio you should definetely go there!

An interesting attraction, a part of the history of the city. Through this, you can go to the old town's streets.
