The square is surrounded by bars and restaurants, all with heaters and blankets waiting for you if needed. Lots of other lovely restaurants (for example Jama Michalika) and bars are nearby. The square can get very crowded at times, especially with pigeons flying around and landing on people which can definitely put off some. Enjoy the gentle buzz of the... More

The old town square in Krakow is one of the more beautiful town squares in Europe. Largely unaffected by bombing during WW2, it retains a majority of it's heritage buildings. The square is vibrant with plenty of shops, and shoppers, loads of restaurants, and (while we were there) probably the best Christmas market we have been to. Just a lovely... More

Kraków's vibrant Main Market Square is one of the areas that make this city one that you must visit. We were there when the Christmas Market was going, which added to the lively atmosphere. I highly recommend the underground museum (entrance at corner of the Cloth Hall closest to St Mary's Basilica). Once there, refer to the map, as passages... More

We walked into the Main Square twice during our short stay of Kraków. It was very pretty and scenic. The horse and carriages were beautiful. It has a mixture of well known cafes and restaurants such as Costa and Hard Rock Cafe but there are equally many authentic local eateries. in particular, a chocolate shop which has the best hot... The square is a lovely attraction in krakow and was our starting point everyday. There are lots of pubs/cafes/restaurants of all nationalities around the square so spoilt for choice. There was so much to see from the square we were spoilt for choice! Definitely a must see in Krakow.

Loved visiting the main market square during my recent visit to Krakow. There are plenty of lovely places to eat and drink all of which are great value for money. The horse drawn carriages are a lovely touch and a great way to have a tour of the old town.

The main square is a lovely area to experience Krakow, there are lovely coffee shops where you can sit outside in sheltered glass covers with fire heaters. Some popular U.K. outlets such as Costa Coffee and Subway are nearby. You can also sit and take in some of the beautiful historic architecture of the square. Certainly worth exploring side streets... What a fantastic place to visit. Cafes and bars surround the square, horse drawn carriages ride around, and people from all countries visit. Great place to soak it all in, we had the carriage ride, 100 zloty, fantastic experience.
