It is very old. Some modern sculptures infuse new life to it. The square was always full of people and the bar and the restaurants were always full.

Krakow's main square is a very lively place in any hour of the day. You can see that all the monuments and buildings are well kept and the whole place is very clean. The streets surrounding it are packed with restaurants and shops.

Always something going on from outdoor eating, even in winter to watching the horse and carriages going by.

The market is beautiful and full or really nice well priced bars and restaurants. I can't remember the name of our favourite but it was in a heater outside glass area on the corner you exit to the castle

The heart of the city. A large square with plenty of entertainment, things to see and visit. You could spend a day sampling all on offer.

Everything is in easy walking distance although you will walk a lot. Food is so cheap £15 for a three course meal including drinks for two. Go... More

Kracow feels so friendly and wraps itself around you like a long lost friend. Inviting, cosmopolitan, fresh and always something of interest to catch your eye. It shares a peace and tranquillity seldom felt in the world today as it quietly goes on with the business of making you feel safe.

Square in Krakow said to be biggest in Europe. Lots of restaurants and shops lead off the square as well as some fascinating churches. Tour companies operate from square and will come up to you to do trips but they are not overly pushy. Cloth market in square full of tourist tat (this is words in brochures from Tourist Information!).... More
