Considered one of the most magnificent of the Kazimierz synagogues, this structure was built in the mid-seventeenth century in a Judaic-Baroque architectural style.

This small functioning synagogue was a fitting end to our tour of the remaining synagogues in the old Jewish quarter of Krakow. That so few of the large number that existed in Kazimierz before the holocaust remain is heartbreaking but we have to be thankful...More

The restored Synagogue is worth a visit but, more likely to appeal to those with a special interest in Jewish culture over the centuries. Active again and nice to see.

The synagogue is small and unremarkable but the klezmer music concert was terrific. The small combo put a modern twist on klezmer music. There were only a handful of people there when I visited which is too bad because these guys are really good.

While most of the treasures of this synagogue are no longer here, this place is the house with a great spirit of being courageous and giving. You strive to go high when it is not possible for others. You lead when everybody is lost.
