    Quick visit
There isn’t loads to see but a walk up the tower is still worth 30 minutes of your time. There are some interesting exhibitions on the history of the Krakow (Krakow has a rich history dating back centuries!). Entry cost me 18zl.

    The can’t miss Tower
The first thing that came to my mind was that a watch tower really was probably needed as a defensive mechanism during important town hall meetings. As I made my way around the main square, I kept coming back to the tower, the basilica, and the Cloth Hall. I think the structures were considered prime examples of Gothic Architecture.

    Old Town Tower
Towering above much of Old Town, this stop is worth it for the views alone. Enter at the ground level and there's also a small gift shop there. Then, begin the climb along some very old, steep stairs in many parts. Not handicap or stroller accessible - also not for small kids. Take your time and stop at the various rooms and levels along your way to the top floor. Interesting historical exhibits in Polish and English on the various floors. Just be careful ascending and descending the stairs as they can be steep and very uneven in places.

Home to the Museum Of Krakow, Town Hall Tower ( Wieza Ratuszowa W Krakowie ) is an amazing tower and all that remains of the Town Hall that was demolished in 1820.
Its a wonderful landmark building in Krakow, museum is interesting but to me the stunning views afforded from the summit of the tower are awesome, if you're planning a holiday to Krakow and visiting the wonderful Old Town its most definitely well worth checking out and easy to locate on Rynek Glowny.

I was on my own (70 year old woman in good health) and decided to venture up the tower steps. I made it only to the first level and realized going further wasn't a smart idea. As others have mentioned, the steps are steep, irregular, and rather treacherous. I used the loose chain to descend and thankfully no one else was coming up. That would have been a problem.

My advice is to go only if you are young and quite fit. At 5'1", my legs ached the next day! Not a smart idea to go solo or with others if not in top shape.

The Museum Of Krakow Town Hall is located in the bell tower of what was once part of the medieval old Town Hall ,the views from the tower are stunning ,the tower looks amazing especially at night when illuminated ,I walked through Rynek Główny several times on our five days holiday in Krakow and this is one of the most eye catching structures on arguably one of the most beautiful squares in the world .

Be warned the steps are very steep and in places very tight. However the views at the top are great and the rooms inside are very interesting with all the information boards also in English.
