Located in a nice street with a small food court next to the museum (mural).

The museum is worth a visit, beautiful art and also authentique furniture.

The staff wasn't very friendly, no hello/good bye. Just showed with their hands where visitors should go?!

Behind the museum you find a very nice garden which is a café open to public!

I appreciate Art Nouveau and since admission was included with my National Museum ticket I decided to pay a visit. There are numerous sketches and paintings on display as well as period furniture and personal photos. It is apparent that the curators went through some effort to make the house look like it did when Mehoffer lived in it and yet the space allows his work to be showcased. It is a great glimpse into the late 19th/early 20th century and definitely worth an hour or two of your time.

Agree with the other reviewer who said Bad Staff, Good Museum. The house is relatively hard to find. We arrived half an hour before closing which in hindsight was enough to see everything. However, the staff were not welcoming and rushed us out, switching off lights, locking doors and putting their coats on. Pity as some lovely rooms and paintings to see and appreciate from that era. Would have enjoyed more even if even given 15 mins to take it in without being glowered at by staff.

Beautiful house with some great stained glass, art and furniture. Staff are friendly. There's a garden cafe at the back but the tables were all taken. A lovely place a little of the beaten path.

Home of an outstanding stained-glass artist who was privileged to work by the side of Wyspianski on the interiors of countless churches and important buildings in Krakow, it rather looks like a museum than a domestic space.A wide-ranging display of Art Deco to Impressionist-era artworks, sketches and stained-glass pieces attest to Mehoffer's great legacy.More than that, his house was a favourite place where members of the Young Poland movement were meeting to debate on art.At the end of the visit, take your time for a stroll through the superb garden hidden behind the house and some sipping in the old-fashioned café nearby.

This Museum is the house of a local Art Nouveau/Secessionist Artist from the beginnig of the 20th Century. The rooms and the art are absolutely sublime, like a like a quiet retreat from the rest of the city. you feel like you are just visiting a family home.
Fantastic and atmospheric

we visited Jozef Mehoffer House last week, and really enjoyed it. Its furnished with items from the Art Nouveau period, and has lots of work by Jozef Mehoffer on the walls, there are many rooms to see, i particularly liked the stained glass windows he created, he was a very good artist. its so good to see where artists lived and how they worked.

This was a self guided tour through the artist's home which remains remarkably as it was when he lived there. It was liberally decorated with his paintings, drawings, and contained a few examples of his stained glass work. I would not recommend it for people who lack an interest in his work or in art history. Any enjoyment in this attraction is severely impacted by the dour attitudes of the staff. Never have I toured a museum and felt more scrutiny under scowling eyes as at this place. Talk about feeling unwelcome! Mehoffer would be appalled were he alive. It is free on Sundays.
