Beautiful Shop & Tasting
Feb 2020 • Couples
Absolutly loved my visit to this wonderful shop on Royal Road in Krakow Old Town. We visited on a tour. The lovely people who own it were so friendly.
The place is so stunning and we tried a couple of the vodkas and they were lovely best vodka ever.
I bought a 70% one for my brother which I brought back home with me fir his birthday and I chose a great barrel glass bottle.
Highly reccomend a visit when in Krakow.

Beautiful shop
Jul 2019 • Couples
We bought a lovely gift for someone in this shop (pear vodka), after sampling a couple of flavours. The prices are really good, and the glass bottles are attractive and inexpensive. Unfortunately, the young woman serving us was rather unhelpful and unpleasant. We purchased a bottle with a screw cap and told her we were travelling overseas, could she wrap it well. She didn't even bubble wrap it and we just shrugged and didn't ask again. Our relatives ended up bringing us bubble wrap so we could wrap it ourselves for our luggage. If it wasn't for her being so useless and rude, I would have given the place five stars. Another example of super spotty service in Krakow. As a side note, the cap did not leak (she did put some plastic under the cap) and the bottle did not break.

Excellent shop!
May 2019 • Couples
Honestly we stayed at a hotel two doors down and only on our fourth day and last day did we see this shop. Dropped in and was so happy we had! The woman running the store was extremely nice and friendly and spoke enough English that we understood everything. She will let you taste whichever spirit you pick...no issues there. Then we bought a shot each, one quince and one lemon vodka...excellent! Then we decided to purchase two small bottles to take home. One amaretto and the other a honey vodka. Both excellent! Our bottles did not leak and she did a nice job wrapping them very nicely and in bubble wrap. Cannot say enough nice things about this shop...wished we had found t on day 1!!!

Great place to relax
Mar 2019 • Friends
It is a great place,to try different kind of liquers with many tasties. There are with plum(on the photo, and this liquer is the most stronger 70°),orange,strawbery,etc.Prices are on medium level but i think that it costs to pay once to try this. Also there are little bottles so you can buy to home or make present for somebody.50ml costs about 2$,and there is about 30 kinds of liquers.

Cool shop that could be better
Feb 2019 • Couples
This is cool little shop with good products. The system is a little confusing. I distinctly got the feeling that they are tired of people coming in and expecting free tastes...I totally understand that, but it would be good to post something in English to explain to foreigners their different options. We bought some shots to enjoy there, and some bottles to take home. You have to buy your bottle, then buy your vodka that they pump into the bottle. Funnily...the small bottles cost a lot more than the large bottles, so they would rather you buy larger amounts (a little shady). The sad part is that the bottle doesn't get sealed particularly well. The cork doesn't go in far, and over that is some plastic and glue. We bought 4 different things and they all leaked a little bit, so just be aware if you are looking for souvenirs. Although you can sit and taste the vodka, it is not overly comfortable or welcoming for that.

Friendly service in this small shop in the old town of Kraków. We tried some good liquors and bought a quince vodka which is very tasty.

We went in thinking to buy a souvenir and ended up trying several different nips before we settled on our favourite. It was quite busy and we had a chat with some Russian customers who guided us to the black pepper and honey vodka. Divine! We bought two bottles!
We had glass of cherry just to be sure!
By the way the service from the young lady was perfect, she was polite, explained things perfectly in English and also gave some good tips for places to visit just outside Krakow.
Don’t miss this place, it is quirky and fun!

Disappointing
Sep 2018 • Friends
We visited Sklep Szambelan on 14th September as recommended by our food and drink tour guides Delicious Poland. We were told they were closing in ten minutes and didn’t seem too keen to serve us , but we asked for a quick taste as we’d walked far to get there and reluctantly obliged , so we had a shot, paid and left and said we’d be back tomorrow to try more. So we went back on Saturday 15th around 6.30pm and found we were the only customers inside and the young girl was on her mobile phone she completely ignored us and walked outside leaving us waiting to be served. We sat down and waited but she continued to talk on her phone and ignored us , we felt they didn’t deserve our business and that’s not how you treat customers so we left..
We will be emailing our food and drink tour guide to let them know that they should re think recommending this vodka tasting bar.

Great vodka, unhelpful staff
Jun 2018 • Solo
Been to this shop many times and have to say the honey spiced vodka is out of the world, the service was terrible, welcomed with what the hell do you want eyes, no explanation, no would you like to try, she was doing me a favour acknowledging my presence. Shame as it is a beautiful place with fine products, just needs to seriously up its customer relations
