- KarolinaPoznan, Poland3 contributionsGreat placeGreat bar, loved the interior, very stylish. The service was very kind. Really great place to grab a drink late in the evening, food was also good, fresh, hot when we received it. Really enjoyed it there :)Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 March 2023
- Bertie1224Northamptonshire, United Kingdom527 contributionsQuirky barInteresting interior that does not suggest much from outside. Little bar that can have a reasonable queue if busy, but the quirkiness means it is worth it to get a drink, sit in a lovely space and chat with friends. An excellent pre dinner stop off. Reasonable selection of drinks. Good price. Staff were polite and quick. Would happily return.Visited April 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 15 April 2023
- Janvanj7163 contributionsGreat bar!!Good in the daytime but this place comes alive at night. Dark dingy and atmospheric. Lit only by candies. Sit outside and watch the world go by or sit inside and soak up the atmosphere. Took a wrong turn and went into the cellar where a 5 piece jazz band were on. Lots of different acts perform downstairs or DJ’s doing sets. Drinks priced ok and bar staff really helpful.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2023

Service was quick and friendly. A bottle of beer and a daiquiri were very much enjoyed. On closer inspection, through the bar, there is a garden to sit in, also busy, also buzzy! - Pub Monster NeilLiverpool, United Kingdom672 contributionsOne of my favourite pubs in KrakowWithout a shadow of a doubt one of my favourite pubs in Krakow is Alchemia ,a pub I always enjoy visiting on any holiday I take to this fascinating city. Located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter ( Kazimierz ) ,walking in and you know you're in a special pub, multi roomed ,candle lit ,a cool looking serving bar, exposed brickwork, peeling paint ,all manner of interesting bric a brac adorning the walls, an eye catching serving bar and there's lots of seating options spread throughout this pub which it needs as this pub is popular with not just tourists such as me but with locals, its a pub I've been visiting for many years ,its hardly changed at all ,it's just a great pub. My twin brother and I were here on a freezing cold February night but the pub was toasty warm and very busy but we grabbed a table were I then went up the serving bar ( self service here ) queued up for a few minutes and after a quick study of their beer range I got us Tyskie Brewery Ksiazece ipa ,these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. My ipa was really good, golden, hoppy, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish to it we both enjoy, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Alchemia we had a great time. Alchemia is easy to locate along Ulica Estery just off the famous Plac Nowy, a street, square and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and some very cool architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 9am till 2am. Friday & Saturday, 9am till 3am. Sunday, 9am till 2am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Jewish Quarter of Krakow.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 February 2024

Alchemia is a fantastic pub and restaurant on Estery that is very atmospheric and is in my opinion the best pub and restaurant on Plac Nowy. This superb place has a brilliant interior with many interesting feature's and brilliant seating area's throughout this pub and restaurants four roomed interior.
This place encapsulates Kazimierz as it's a no-nonsense pub and restaurant that's got a rustic interior and looks amazing when it is candle-lit.We have been coming here for many years and it's still a great place to go to and on our latest visit it was very busy.
We visited here in the afternoon and it was as always very lively. We sat inside and had a few Tyskie brewery Ksiązęce IPA's'a really good local Polish beer which where served in perfect condition and where well priced considering were we where.Alchemia is an excellent pub and restaurant and is one of the highlight's of this area and is well worth visiting and very easy to find from Stradom bus or tram stop it's a short walk.(This is my second review of Alchemia).

Beautiful experience. I would recommend this bar to everyone!
When you go there you will be more than 2 hours, because there are too many things to see.

Good drinks! With decorations and all :) old surroundings (old building kept as it is). A lot of younger local people spending time but some tourists too.
