Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As in all of zakopane totally full of shops selling tourist crap packed with rubbish people.
It’s impossible to just find somewhere to sit and have a coffee without queuing.
Absolutely the worst place I have ever visited .
Don’t go it’s packed and horrible

Very crowded place with many clownes everywhere who want to sale you everything. Many shops, you can buy any climbing accesories if you want. Many restaurants, local booze stores, couple night clubs.

Don't buy anithing in Krupowki street market. The quality of food is awful. Chees is inedible, honey is made of shugar and jelly and could be cut in cubes by knife. Although prices are high.

What a beautiful location. Such gorgeous views. Shops sold the same things, so visiting one or two was enough.
Fantastic bus driver, Chris and guide, Magda made the trip. Worth visiting to see the beauty of Poland

This pedestrian only street full of boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars is a patchwork of mixed styles: very old wooden architecture, modern building poorly imitating old local architecture, and post-communistic architecture. This street is very crowded and supposed to be fashionable. I don’t understand what people see interesting about it.

I recently (end of August) spent a long weekend in Zakopane (2nd trip there within the past four years) and did a lot of walking on Krupówki Street. This is the "main" street in the tourist part of Zakopane and its solely for pedestrians (occasionaly a delivery car of some sort will drive through though). The street begins on the north a few metres south of the Gubalówka Mountain and ends about 500 metres south of the Tatry Mountain range. It isn't very long (distance wise) but it is very busy. It was normal for me to walk up and down the entire strip about 6 times in one day.
On this street one will find gift/souvenir shops, traditional Polish restaurants (the great thing is that during dinner it is common to find traditional folklore singers entertaining diners), jewellery shops (lots of amber), travel agencies (great for booking 1-day tours etc in the region), one main post-office, drug-stores, hotels/B&B's and a variety of other commercial ventures. As in any major tourist destination, items purchased on this street (be it dinner or jewellery) will be a bit more pricier than on the outskirts.

Busy street. Lots of restaurant. Great food. I think my favourite part of Zakopanem. The only thing I can say is not to buy any souvenirs there as you will go outside of Krupówki and you will find exactly the same things half.priced etc.

Krupowki street pretty much epitomises what is wrong with Zakopane. A beautiful location with so much potential, ruined by packed in touristy tacky crap. Crowd levels are grim and resemble the tube at rush hour - although people there seem to be able to avoid walking into you. We came to the mountains to experience - well, the mountains, not to play in an arcade, eat Mcdonalds and go shopping in H&M. Sure there are authentic Polish shops and restaurants amongst the generic rubbish, but they are overwhelmed by the tide of awful noise, crowds and elbows. One of the many ironies is the traffic jam you have to sit in for an hour to to get to this loveliness. And finally, if on the gondola up out of the valley to the mountain top you think 'now I can enjoy the views and serenity', think again as it is delightfully repeated for you up there, albeit with more arcades and tat. I am sure there are gorgeous peaceful Polish mountain villages to be found in the area, which I will think about as we sit in the traffic to get back to the lovely Zakopane.

How much time is good to spend on tatra mountains and near siklowica water fall
Written 16 December 2018
I would stay as long as I can, say one month, in the mountains. If you don't see a waterfall, nothing will happen.

Is this area (and Zakopane in general) crowded during late summer (August)?
Written 11 December 2018
In general, Zakopane is crowded mid-June through late August, but not unpleasantly so. It's much more crowded during ski season.

Grazie a tutti!!!
Francesco.
Written 23 June 2018
Ciao Francesco ti consiglio 2 notti.. quelle che ci siamo fatti noi! Bellissimo. Non credo basti di meno. Cracovia alla fine in 2 giorni si vede tutta.. vale la pena andare ad Auschwitz anche. Buon viaggio

Where are some good places to eat? preferably with a English menu
Written 9 February 2018
Within a stone throw from the southern end of Krupuwki street lies Witkiewicza street. There is Francuskie nalesniki (French Pencakes) and a few meters futher Czikago bar (actually it shoud haver been Chicago) where tasty and at reasonable prices pizzas and other meals are available.

Is there snow in Zakopane (not only on the hills or mountains) at the end of February / beginning of March? thanks
Written 4 December 2017
Check regularly on Internet. If you wish to do some real skiing you would rather go to the Italian Alps. In March there is not much snow in lower parts of Carpatian, however you may find it enjoyable enough to make a snowman. In the high Tatras in August I used to slide down several metres on patches of snow

Come hai organizzato il trasporto da Cracovia a Zacopane? Da Zacopane (ho prenotato una stanza per una notte) volevo spostarmi l'indomani per STRBSKE PLESO, ma trovo difficoltà con i mezzi di trasporto.
grazie
