A must when in Zakopane. Gorgeous views on the way to the top, then possibility of beautiful hike on top. Very smooth ride, not scary at all. Well run, but strongly advise to get the tickets online before going there. Ask your hotel for help...More
You must be patient if you do not buy the tickets in advance - the queue for buying the tickets and then get to the cable lift takes usually 2-3 hours. The view from the top is generous.

Lovely to stand on top of the mountain as the views across Poland and Slovakia were spectacular. The cable car ride was really inexpensive and quick and the added bonus of a mountain top cafe was great 😊 Loved it 😊
The cable car is great. Beats hiking up to ridge trails. Buy your ticket downtown on kuprowski street or at kiosk at dirt upper level. The long lines you see when you get there are for those wanting to buy 1/2 priced tickets. Its worth...More

We just bought tickets at the bottom of the cable car entrance. There was no queue in late June.
I believe you can also book online but then you are risking the weather which can be very wet in Zakopane.

Are you accustomed to mountain hiking, or are both you and your kid novices? In the former case it is fine (but I would take hiking poles to ensure your steps more stable), in the latter I would not attempt it - carrier is great as long as you can be sure of yourself not to slip. The comments about taking a guide are stupid, there is absolutely zero risk of getting lost or losing the trail or anything else where the guide would've helped - the risk is you losing your step which is much easier with carrier than without it. If you go, definitely do not take the direct green trail to Kuźnice, without carrier that'd be the easiest option but there is too high a risk of skidding down on the rock rubble. The option you can consider is yellow trail to Hala Gąsienicowa and then blue trail to Kuźnice. The steepest then is the beginning of yellow trail, if she can walk this beginning by yourself the rest will be easier for you.

it's best to pre-book. You either buy tickets online or in Zakopane (several places, e.g. tourist information centre up Krupówki street, or at ticket machines down at Krupówki or at Gubałówka). Then at the cable car you have separate (priority) queue for those who pre-booked. Hope this helps.

Basically do not understand what is question focus on. Is it for Kasprowy vierch? So do not understand which excusion may start in Krakow, if this is in Zakopane. Any hotel you stay can help you to go and explain how to get there. Or just take a google maps and go. You must take local bus (many different private, minibuses operates there) to get there. Or even taxi. Can not acces with private cars. This will get you right to the Cabin station.
