Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the landmark buildings in Wrocław is Wrocław Opera,a stunning piece of architecture that's just a joy to visit on any holiday I take to this cute little Polish city.
The first opera house was opened in 1841 ,designed by architect Carl Ferdinand Langhans but this building was destroyed by fire ,the new opera house we see today was constructed between 1865-1871 and was built from designs from architect's Carl Johann Ludecke & Karl Schmidt ,this opera house was originally called Oper Breslau until 1945 but with the stroke of a pen and the changing of a borderline after the Potsdam Conference post World War Two Breslau which at the time was the nearest German city east of Berlin became Polish and renamed Wrocław ,the opera house looks amazing, the facade is awesome, the Doric columns, the statue's atop the building add to the beauty of this opera house and when illuminated at night this opera house looks magical, it's a big tourist attraction, a magnet for music lovers and if you're planning a holiday to Wrocław is most definitely well worth checking out and easy to locate along Ul Swidnicka.

We went to see a gala performance by Erwin Schrott. Wonderful performance, lovely opera house, cheap tickets, and great service. Front of the stage is difficult to see from seats in Balcony 4 (at the top!)

After seeing so many amazing pictures of Wroclaw Opera I was disappointed when I saw the building in real. Located at a busy street surrounded by other buildings it didn't look so magnificient. And even interior is not as outstanding as described in tourists guides. It is beautiful, opulent, richly decorated, but nothing really special compared to other theaters I have visited.
I planed our visit to Wroclaw about a month in advance and unfortunatelly I couldn't get better tickets than third balcony. I don't regret that I bought them because the Nutcracker ballet was excellent and we really enjoyed it. But I have to confirm what is written in many reviews here. View was terrible. We couldn't just comfortable sit and watch, were most of the time leaning over the railing and changing position frequently based on where the dancers were on the stage.
Yet I have to admit visiting Wroclaw Opera was unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of our trip.

We would have loved to have gone to a show but timing didn’t allow. We had to make do with seeing the magnificent architecture from the outside. It is truly beautiful and worth stopping at if only to snap a few photos.

Attended a premiere in march 2019 and got very reasonable tickets , under £20 each, beautifully renovated building and interior, the staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the performance , it has subtitles in English above the stage which really helped us to follow the story . We bought tickets the day before and the ticket office lady was very helpful and spoke some English too. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, people dress up to go opera house and it has a lovely feeling inside the building - I would recommend trying to get tickets if you can , lovely experience.

The former Royal Breslau Opera House is one of the best opera today in Poland. The decoration inside is exactly that what you expect from an opera house. It was a great joy to see it.
