For a very small fee you can climb the stairs to the top and walk on the bridge between the towers. There are a couple of hundred stairs but they are way to walk up and you can stop on some levels on the way up. Some lovely views of the city from the top.
The church itself inside is very impressive and worth a visit, even if you do not go to the top.

Very little remained of the rich 14th century church after the Second World War, the most important thing is undoubtedly the goldsmiths' chapel. The large Gothic windows are modern in style, quite interesting, otherwise, apart from the baptismal font and the pulpit, there is very little. Entrance to the church is free, if you want you can go up to the witches' bridge, which connects the two towers, by paying a ticket (it was cloudy, we avoided the long staircase).

The church itself is nothing exceptional. However, it was nice to go up the bridge that joins the two towers, called the penitents' bridge. From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city from above....and surprise....on the bridge there is also a gnome to photograph

Check out the viewpoint!
This rather unassuming church in Wroclaw Old Town has a most memorable little bridge giving stunning views of the city and the little statue and story adds to the value of climbing the 248 steps. A highlight of our visit!

The church of Santa Maria Maddalena is a church built from the thirteenth century and completed in the fifteenth, where different architectural styles mix, although the prevailing one is Gothic. Like many other civil and religious buildings in the city, it was largely rebuilt after the war. Externally it looks like an imposing brick building characterized by the two tall towers on the facade. The interior is rather bare, now devoid of almost all the original furnishings and decorations. Still worth a visit, even given its convenient location, a stone's throw from the Rynek. Free admission.

The cathedral was fairly plain inside but still worth the visit. If you climb up the tower, which isn't very hard, you get to cross the penitants bridge. It is a thin brdige that could be a bit crowded but there are great views. The little statue on the bridge is so cute as well.

I have a petrifying fear of heights but decided to try and challenge the Penitent bridge. We started with a walk around the church, lighting some candles to remember those we have lost. After this we paid 10 Zloty to climb to the bridge. There are around 300 steps to the top however, around 225 of them are stone steps and are very friendly to the person like me who has a petrifying fear of heights. Several landings provide detailed information about the church and Legend of the bridge - This is in 3 languages. Now at the 225th step the stairs become mesh and you can see straight down as you climb to the door to the Penitent bridge, I had a mild panic attack but managed to control my fear and push myself to the top!.
Oh my god - What a view, honestly so proud I made it and the view was so so worth it, I would seriously recommend a trip here

Great climb to Penitents Bridge! Manageable steps, and affordable value. The view is really pretty, especially on a gorgeous summer day. And don't forget the dwarves!

The bridge does get crowded, so be prepared to wait for a bit before heading out onto it.

We walked up the 247 steps to the bridge of penitents. Lots of landing spots for you to take a break and some info sheets to read while you catch your breath. Great views from the bridge, well worth the 15 zlotys!

This was another wonderful church in Wroclaw. After climbing the steps of both St. Elizabeth and Mary Magdalene, my legs were feeling it the next day! To climb, it cost 4 PLN (about $1.50). The money goes towards the cathedral renovation. We were only able to go up so high as the bridge connecting the towers but it provided really nice views of the city. I'm not sure if once the renovation is done, you will be able to go all the way up either tower. Nice stained glass and the square next to the church is nice for people watching. If you look closely, you may find one of the famous Wroclaw dwarves next to the church!
