The Botanic Garden ("Ogród Botaniczny" in Polish) also owns the Palm House in Łódź ("Palmiarnia" in Polish) which is also a beautiful place to visit and deserves it's own tourist attraction status. The Palm House's address is: ul. Piłsudskiego 61, Łódź, Poland. Information about both the Botanic Garden and the Palm House is available at the Garden's website (http://www.botaniczny.lodz.pl/) - unfortunately the English version of the site is rather basic in its content.

I was so surprised when I stepped there the first time, I didn't imagine that in Lodz there is this place with hundreds of species, it was sunnyday and with the fresh smell of flowers, grass, small lakes there, it was really a paradise.

We came here at the beginning of Mai. All the flowers were at blossom. Beautiful park with nice landmarks. I recommend!

A calm and lovely place to escape the madness of the city, entry is cheap and the greenhouse is lovely and warm especially when you want to escape the ferocity of a Polish winter for an hour or 2.

I was suprised of this lovely garden. It's not the typical botanic garden, more like a park with trees and flowers with description next to them. But it was so big and quiet, I could stayed there for hours! There are some sun clocks and even a small family of ducks. :) The reduced ticket is 2 zl, but after... More

The garden is a neat place, not big but full of plants. The entrance is paid but is cheap. In the inside is a interesting transition. You can explore greenhouses and a large outdoor garden.

The Garden is large and you need at least 2 hours for sightseeing. In my opinion it is more interesting that the garden i Geneva,

A place to relax at the shore of a pond and to get away from the hustle of the city. Nice collection of plants for a person interested in gardening or in botany in general.

It is very cheap to get in - 5zl (£1) but don't expect to see a single exotic plant in there. It looks just like a common english park with a small landscaped section in the beginning. The rest is just an overgrown, unkept jungle of common trees and bushes.
