Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The fountain refers to the famous work of Nicolaus Copernicus ‘On the Revolutions of Celestial Spheres’. The granite board of the fountain reads a Latin sentence and a diagram of the heliocentric system and the circles symbolising the orbits contain 100 nozzles from which water springs up. The central nozzle symbolising "the Sun"   shoots water 5 meters in the air.
In the summer, in the evening hours the visitors can admire spectacular fountain performances of water, light and sound and it os the best time to see it.

Cosmopolis Fountain is an attraction situated at the edge of the Old Town in Toruń. The fountain was completed in June 2008 and during the daytime it is quite a sight and attracts a lot of visitors. In the evenings there are light shows and water effects accompanied by music which unfortunately we did not get to see on our fleeting visit. It is a worthwhile visit whilst in Toruń and next time we will make sure we see it in full splendour during an evening light show.

It is nice place to sit and rest along the day, but it fully reveals itself only when twilight begins and the lights are on.

We went there with a guide, and were waiting for those well-known shows, as even she recommended this spot to us, and then....nothing happened. There were some shows scheduled - we found the info on the Internet, but still the fountain water was quite low and without many colors, well definitely something was wrong.

So let me begin by saying I love fountains. I love the engineering, the architecture and the artistry. At night this fountain does not disappoint. It is relatively small but well designed. I visited it three times and very much enjoyed my time there. This is not the Bellagio in Las Vegas so you need to focus your expectation reasonably. Nevertheless I highly recommend taking the time after dark to visit. I have to admit though I did not get the Copernicus connection, did not seem to have any connection to the solar system but maybe that is just me. Also it is FREE.

We liked it so much the first night we went (end of day walking around so were a bit tired) we went back the next night a bit more rested to enjoy it fully. The water in the fountain does a light show synchronized to music. There is also good people watching, especially kids.

Great for kids, and for anyone who wants to get away from the noise and relax, just outside the city walls.

Nice place and location, close to the Vistula River and the old city walls. The music combined with the dancing waters and the colors were a gratifying experience.

I found this on a very hot and humid afternoon. Filled with children running and jumping in the water while the vertical jets of water dance. Good seating all around to enjoy the show. Came back at night and the light effects are worth the walk. I nice break from the crowds.

What a unique and stunning free attraction. The colors, water and music all correspond to make a magic & entrancing dance. Best to watch after sunset with the colors can be seen better.
