A small museum with great exhibits. Can be done in an hr or so. Place is easy to miss as its located abit further in from the main road. The elm tree is symbolic. The section where the prisoner's clothes with blood stain was sad...More

My brother recommended this museum, as he visited a number of years ago. It feels wrong to say that something so harrowing was excellent, but the way this prison has been preserved and portrays the horrors of the past is spectacular, and a place that...More

Not much is really left of the original Pawiak prison, but the place is very interesting and a must see for anyone interested in WW2 and visiting Warsaw. The staff is very nice and helpful, and I would love to visit the place again.

Seek out this museum- very small attendance but so worth while- in a former prison in Warsaw that was mostly destroyed by the Nazis at the close of WW2- but what remains and the exhibits tell a very compelling and hard to fathom story of...More

Excellently presented exhibition with very moving displays. Tree memorial is also beautiful. Thursday has free entry.

Having watched Czas Honoru on TV in Scotland for years, this was my first stop in Warsaw. It is haunting, but fascinating. The few staff (I was the only person there) are helpful and buy the DVD.

Free on a Thursday. Easy to walk to from the centre. Very near the Museum of the Polish Jews. Not huge so probably won't need more than one hour. Half of the museum has artefacts / stories relating to the museum e.g. prisoners personal items...More

We found ourselves very interested in this after going to the Gestapo HQ. And it's very very good! I'm very glad we went. It starts with an informative re-creation of the grounds in days gone, then you go and read the stories of people that...More

This was an interesting find, and well worth the visit. It was very poignant but a little disappointing as not all of the information is translated into English. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area. It would definitely be improved if all...More

It was a waste of time. I went there when I saw what it was about, but there was no information about things in the museum. If you want to see drawings, paperwork, and things found in the ruble, with no context or infromation about...More
