I went to visit at the tickets in November were free. I had heard about the Royal Castle being rebuilt after the Germans blew it up and demolished it in 1944 so really wanted to see it. The way it has been so accurately restored is marvellous every detail every ceiling painting reinstated. Thanks to the people of Poland. Not... More

We only visited the surrounds as we had ran out of time and place was closing due to it not being high season. Outstanding buildings though! So can only really comment on that

The castle is closed on the Monday so we went in on Tuesday and found November entry is FREE. After getting our tickets we went across the courtyard to enter the castle. Inside we saw photos of the devastation caused by Nazi bombs, the castle was levelled to the ground. On our Free Walking tour our guide, told us that... More

Hard to believe the castle was destroyed in 1939 during WWII. Fantastic rebuild filled with so many historical artwork and features. So glad they rebuilt the castle. Be sure to check out the free times (most Sundays) for entry. A must see when in Warsaw!

We went in Nov so it was free- tried to get tickets one day but they had all gone so get there early! As with Warsaw everything has been rebuilt and they have done an excellent job in replicating the original.

The museum is a huge place, so you'll need at least 3 hours if you wanna see everything. One cool detail: it's free on Tuesdays ;) I went with a Polish guy who told me things about it, and it was really cool. I don't know if they offer some guided tours (they probably do), and if they do, it's... More

One of the most memorable things in old Warsaw. This was a Royal residence for Polish kings from XVI century until the Partitions of Poland.

Fabulous interior rooms. Recommend using the audio guide if you don't speak Polish. The rather plain exterior belies the extravagant beautiful interior.

The Castle was free for all of November so I can't comment on value for money but I'm pretty sure one adult ticket costs approx. 33zl. The Castle is pretty and quite large. You have to leave your large coats and large bags in a cloak room that doesn't look very secure at all so don't take any big bags.... More
