This is a space devoted to contemporary art, in a very dignified building in which the first president of independent Poland was assassinated in 1921 or so. Your impressions will depend on what's on exhibit on the day of your visit. I wasn't very lucky....More

Brilliant and shocking exhibitions when I went here. It doesn't even get a mention in most guides but it's worth a visit if you're interested in modern art. Cafe and restaurant too. Enthusiastic staff.

Zacheta gallery is in a old beautiful palace and offers the interested visitor a great experience in modern art. Changing exhibitions are always interestingly curated.

When visiting Galeria Zacheta during January 2017 I found great interest in the temporary Folk Art exhibition. It provided an interesting view of art under communism and reminded me my childhood in Israel, which was a socialistic country under strong Russian influence.

Worth visiting if you like contemporary polish art. There's also a good bookshop inside. The building itself is great as well, but now is being renovated.

Beautiful building with good contemporary art exhibition. It was a pity 2 of the 3 exhibitions were only in Polish - and did not have english subtitles - so I couldn't understand the videos and documentaries. Worth visiting if you are an art lover.

Zachęta offers a great artistic experience almost every time for stupid cheap (1pln if you're a student with Thursdays free for everyone). Nothing to loose and a lot to gain, as the gallery often hosts up to three separate exhibitions, catering to a wide range...More

The setting is a beautiful neo-Renaissance building from the nineteen hundreds, one of the few buildings that survived the Nazi occupation, but on the inside you get the most contemporary of polish art, with some Balkan and generally European artists too. It's a really enjoyable...More
