Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting 2 1/2 hour tour around the old town. Our guide Andres was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with interesting stories about Warsaw. Sites covered included:-
Copernicus Monument on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street
Royal Castle
University of Warsaw
The presidential palace
Sigmund Column
Old town Market Square
St. John Cathedral
He also pointed us in the right direction to see the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Square).

One of the best city tours in my life! The group was quite demanding but the guide planned the route perfectly, sharing with us the stories of Warsaw that not everyone knows about. I fully recommend it. It's definitely not the last walk with Break in Warsaw..😁👌🏻

It was a lovely afternoon! My guide, Gosia, is really kind and had taugh me a lot of nice things about Warsaw and Polska history! It is a different perspective when you have the opportunity to walk with someone who knows the history about the places. I could visit places with details, something that I would have if I was by myself. Also, her company saved me a lot of time searching for a nice place to visit! Really worth it!

We (a group of six) had a short two days in Warsaw and we were thinking it would be nice if we could gain some understanding of how locals live besides visiting those historical monuments. Margaret of Break in Warsaw helps us to achieve this by bringing us to local market, Hala Mirowska, city owned flats, urban gardens etc. Knowing that we have to catch a train back to Krakow at the end of tour, Margaret explained in details how to navigate in Centralna train station. Thanks Margaret for your kindness and personalised service. Appreciated.

Truly a wonderful tour.
I can highly recommend the walking tour. We combined The Royal Route & Old Town Tours = 4+ hours. Our guide was terrific.
Book it - you wont regret it.

We had two guided tours with Gawel. The first one was two hours in the Old town and the second one was 2 1/2 hours in the Communist area. Both visits were great. Gawel is a very nice guide. Never had a guide so nice before. He adapted the visit to our styles and wishes. He's knowledge of his country is vast. Like we are doing a roadtrip he gave us a lot of local information for our stay in Poland.
Once again many thanks.

My kids don’t like tours and I’m usually apprehensive! So we were not very keen when my husband booked a 4 hours private walking tour for our first visit to Warsaw. We were met by the lovely tour guide, Gosia, at our hotel and right from the start I knew that this tour was different. It was informative, engaging and, at times, tailor-made to our interests. After knowing that my daughter was an avid musician with a special interest in Chopin, Gosia skillfully tweaked the tour to include some very interesting sites. We could feel that this was definitely not a one size fits all experience. We loved spending time learning about the city, not only from a historical perspective but also from a cultural, culinary and even botanical angle. I highly recommend this tour!

We booked a 3 hour walking tour of Warsaw.
Make sure you have comfortable walking shoes for the cobble stones and lots of walking.
Anita was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Anita’s English was excellent and it was a pleasure to listen to her. Whatever we asked about whilst on the walking tour, Anita gave us a very interesting historical answer with sufficient detail to be interesting but not too much. Anita also showed us videos and photos and maps so that we could get a better feel for the old Warsaw, the devastation of war and uprisings, and could better understand how much had changed over time.
We would not hesitate to book Anita again for any future tours!

We took a private tour (4 of us) with Margaret in Warsaw. She is so personable and passionate about her city. She has a background in anthropology and knows ALL the history or Warsaw. During our 3 hour walking tour, Margaret took us to places around the city that we would never have found on our own. Thank you Margaret!!

buongiorno

These days Kasia is on holidays (until 15th) but all of our tour guides are great:) We organize Communist Warsaw free tours every Tue, Thu, Sat and Sun at 2 pm. The meeting point is on the crossroads of Nowy Swiat and Smolna st. The guide waits there these days at 2 pm with the yellow umbrella. You'll find a small map and more details on our web page - the link to the free tours is on the left. We naturally also offer tailor made walking and scooter tours.

Hi there, a friend and I are in Warsaw until Monday and would like to go on both the communist and Jewish tours, what are the times/days and meeting points? Thank you.

Hi! Everything is written on out free tour page (go to Break In Warsaw web page and click on the link - Tip Trips season 2015 - and you'll find the details there).
If you mean the Communist Warsaw free tours - just come to the meeting point at 2 pm (on Sat or Sun). The Jewish Warsaw free tours are organized these days on request only, and only on Wednesdays and Fridays, but after they Communist tour you can always ask a tour guide if she/he can do it for you for instance on Sunday.
Good luck and enjoy it!
And if you do, please don't hesitate to leave us a comment here :)

Our plane lands at 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday, in July. We leave Warsaw the next morning but will return in 3 weeks. After flying from the US I am sure we will be extremely exhausted but is there a free or inexpensive tour of the city we can take to get a feeling of what a fantastic city it is and how it has thrived in spite of what it has gone through. There are 4 adults and a 14 year old. I fear we may be too exhausted to walk. We will be staying at the Bristol Hotel.

On Sundays we organize only Jewish Warsaw free tour, but these days it's at 10 am. Free tour means that it's a free entry activity but you can tip the tour guide in the end of a tour. This tour lasts usually 2h. We can organize any different tour (the Royal Route and the Old Town for instance) but this will be a regular tour. Our price for a one district tour (e.g. The Old Town) is 280 PLN and 400 PLN for any combined tour lasting up to 4h. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
