Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was very interesting to see this orthodox church during my free walking tour of Praga district. We know Poland as a very Catholic country so for me it was surprising to see a big orthodox church there. It is not as big and shiny like the ones in Sofia or Belgrade but surely interesting and worth visiting. Furthermore, Praga district is a must see in Warsaw too, since it was not destroyed during the war.

The distinctive outside with the green 'onion domes' on the yellow building. The entrance is through a side gate in the fence. The front door is opened by the priest, up the main staircase.
If the door isn't open in the afternoon, either wait or come back later. We waited and at 2pm the priest opened up. It was worth the wait, the golden icons and screens plus painted walls and ceilings. The priest also sells candles, books and postcards. Outside the church there is a 'shed' were they sell icons etc.

Blink and you would miss it. One of the best and smallest cathedrals in Warsaw. Lovely location not far from city centre.

Didn't have so much time to get inside, but the appearance itself makes difference! Loved this cathedral too much!

The orthodox cathedral is the biggest and the most beautiful one in Poland. Built in 1869, it can accommodate even 1,000 faithful during the Mass. You do not need to belong to the orthodox church to come and visit, and if you happen to be there during the service, you will go through an amazing experience; the music and songs are so beautiful that it is hard to describe! No wonder, the cathedral choir is famous not only in Poland buy also abroad.

So its inevitable that you visit warsaw and you are not greeted by a flurry of churches and cathedrals. All of which are unique and distinct in style. You can see them in Barouqe style, Gothic Style and a few in Orthodox style too.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene Church is one such Orthodox church which is visited bymany tourists. I was with my hostess who took me here and I am glad I entered the church to witness its beauty. Must visit by all means.

Just near the zoo is a big othodox church. Painted in yellow colour it's an old church from the XIX century. Because located in Praga the church does not suffer much during the WW II.

You see this Orthodox Church in 10 minutes or less since it is quite small compared to others, BUT the altar is really something not to miss. Entrance is free and you cannot enter using sleeveless t-shirts although women will get something to cover their shoulders.

The outside is not that impressive but the inside is totally worth it.
