The best way to come to the island is to take a trip with traditional Pletna boat made by locals. It has a colourful awning which protect you from sun. It is operated by Pletna oarsman. It takes 40 minutes to come to the island, than you are free to visit the pilgrimage church, 52m high tower and return by... More

You could take a boat to this wonderful island, or you could hire a rowing boat and make the journey across yourself. It isn't very far to row and when you arrive it's more than worthwhile. If you don't have the numbers then take the boat over, sit back and relax. The island itself was sensational and really beautiful. My... More

Pretty island in the middle of lake bled. Catch a boat from the mainland (14 euros each return but you only get 30 mins on the island, or row yourself). It takes about 10-15 mins to get out to. 99 steps to climb up to the church or you can walk around the outside. It's free to get onto the... More

We took a boat from hotel Park as we had walked and walked and couldn't find a boat across anywhere during the winter. We were losing hope until we found this boat from hotel Park for €11 per person. If you are getting the bus from Ljubljana I would recommend as you come down the hill to the lake to... More

We caught a boat over to the island and explored. It doesn't take that long but there are plenty of photo opportunities and we sat with a hot chocolate enjoying the view. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

Can join a tourist boat to get to the island. Quaint island with a church and gift shop. Also available to rent a row boat that you can row yourself.

After feeling like in funpark on Pletna trip, arrived to middle of Lake Island. Very friendly service we have got in the caffe bar, which is full with handmade stuffs - souvenirs and even use full presents :) The caffe and the "Potica" have really good harmosation taste together, let's try it however you could. You can buy also handmade... More

This is the one thing I would say that you have to see in Bled. The ride over on the boat is around fourteen euro per person and it is worth it. If you want to enter the church there is an additional fee that also includes the clock tower. This fee is also worth it as they allow you... More

Cafe is overpriced, as is the ticket to the tower, but once you get to the island, you might as well pay since you came all the way here. Bring a student ID for a discount. Also - much cheaper to rent a boat and come over yourself (15EUR for an hour, which is more than enough time) than taking... More
