Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So this is indeed a little gallery shop in downtown Ljubljana. I was skeptical because the reviews on this page are confusing. However, it’s a very nice store with traditional Idrija lace items, such as pillows, figures, a couple of linens. It was implied by the very kind saleswoman that custom items could be ordered. We settled on a owl to be framed. Highly recommend.

So interesting to learn about lace production in Idrija and how they are keeping the craft alive and teaching it to new generations. We wentbin on a Saturday and a lovely staff member gave us a tour and talk for a small fee. Stop by if you have a chance

Lovely handmade lace & your purchase will be carefully wrapped. Price here was better than other areas. I'm delighted with my lace snowdrops souvenir, which reminded me of the blooms along the road on the bus ride into town.

We stumbled on this shop walking back from the market to our hotels. We did not know about it until we looked in the window. It really is beautiful and complex lace. We were particularly taken by a lovely dragon figure.

Amazing little town discovered by accident. The lace here is skilfully made and well worth a visit. This town also has wonderful museums with history in mining mercury.

Is it possible to have pricing in US or Canadian dollars? The pieces pictured in your gallery were in Euros and seemed high enough that the average tourist would find purchasing an item out of reach. Thankyou.
