Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This building is named for one of its former owners, Adolf Hauptmann, who was a local paint merchant. It was he who commissioned a redesign of the building into the present Art Nouveau style. The exterior of the building is decorated with geometric motifs in various shades of green that are not evidently Art Nouveau. There’s also some cursive geometric sculptures attached to the corners of the building on the first floor which are evidently Art Nouveau. The Hauptmann House stands diagonally across the square from the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation and is a secessionist gem from the early 20th century.

This building was not originally in the art nouveau style.
It was rebuilt from earthquake damage in the secessionist style, a sub-genre of art nouveau pioneered in Vienna.
The architect, Ciril Metod Koch, studied in Vienna which is why the building is more similar to Austrian than French or Belgian art nouveau styles.

This house is the oldest in Prešeren square from 1873, while it is only one to survive earthquake in 1895. It was renewed by architect Koch in 1904 in the secession style. It is interesting with its green ornaments

Nice looking building from the outside- but that is all. Would be much more interesting if there were a museum or at least some posted information about the building.

This reminded me a little bit of the Flat Iron building in New York city. It has a unique architectural design, and it straddles the corner.

It was built in 1873 and is one of the few Ljubljana buildings that nearly survived the great Ljubljana earthquake undamaged. After the earthquake, the house was bought by Adolf Hauptmann, a paint dealer. The façade and roof were renovated by architect Ciril Metod Kochin 1904. The facade is coated with colored ceramic tiles, which form a geometric pattern. Koch chose contrasting green-blue-red color tones for the front.

On the Preseren square this is one of the highlights. It was built in 1873, and a masterpiece. Unfortunately you can't get inside, beeing today a private building.

We can read in guide books that this house has new, art nouveau facade, work of Ciril Metod Koch. You can look at it from outside. When you enter - there is nothing beside a shop with watches and clocks. Interior from the original house is not preserved or it is hidden behind mirrors of the new shop. So, you admire house from outside
