Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The square, that actually rather a street, had its name from two Byzantine brothers, and Christian theologists who created the Cyrillic alphabet. They traveled in Europe on a missionary expedition carrying the relics of Saint Clement (why?). Getting into and getting out of trouble, finally, they became saints after their death, which happened quite often in early Christianity. Now they left this puzzle to us, why this place called a trg- square? There is the St Nicholas Cathedral, the St Nicholas’s Rectory, the Bishop’s Palace, and a few houses, but doesn’t look like a square, in my dictionary it a street, a short one.

The Ciril-Metodov trg square is lined with numerous famous Baroque buildings. The most outstanding are the Church of St. Nicholas, referred to as "The Cathedral" (Stolnica), and the Archiepiscopal Palace (Nadškofijski dvorec). In medieval times, the square formed the lower end of the city's main artery, which ran along the Mestni trg and Gornji trg squares. It assumed its present appearance partly in the Baroque period and partly after the earthquake of 1895.
At the eastern end of the square, several canonry houses are squeezed between the street running past Ljubljana's central market and the castle hill. They are largely two-storey houses with small courtyards and beautiful gardens situated on the castle hill. The best known among them is the Codelli Canonry (Kodelijev kanonikat), built in the 16th century. Its façade still includes several original elements, such as the corner bay, supported by stone corbels, and the arches in the courtyard.
In the second quarter of the 18th century, a city hotel called the Wild Man Hotel or Bidlmon opened near the Town Hall complex, at no. 21 Ciril-Metodov trg. The building housing it, completed in 1742, has an interesting Baroque façade adorned with pilasters. Its entrance portal, made in stone, was created by the sculptor Ludvik Bombasio.

One of the bigger squares in the older part of the city and.. nothing special. Shops usually closed despite opening hours, expected wider choice of shops and restaurants. At the time of my visit some places were under renovation. Quite calm even at Friday/Saturday night.

This is a street, not really a square; it runs on the opposite side of the market area from the river. It has various buildings and shops along it; probably the most notable is the Cathedral of St. Nicholas

This street has name trg (square). On one side you will see a line of houses, on the other side five or six palaces and Baroque cathedral. You can visit some restaurants, shops and church, too. Fine part of medieval town and pedestrian district.

This is one of the main streets in the old town running next to the Cathedral of St Nicholas and then connecting to Mestni trg. Pedestrianised and easy for walking along with a few little cafes and shops along the way.

You can not miss it, if you are walking in the old town. You have here the famous Robba fountain, the Cathedral, not far the City Hall and a lot of very good restaurants.
