Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thia church I found to be hidden down ro the back of a street. To me it doesn't look as if its still on use. Didnt attempt to go it because on the day i went it looked all locked up.. It's a bit of a walk away from city center but still deserves a look.

Interesting but less known part of the medieval Ljubljana. The former monastery with church and some later added structures is worth a quick visit. There is an inviting restaurant. Far the best time to visit it is during different events

Križanke are important corner of medieval Ljubljana. Main attraction is summer festival with fine performances during the summer seasons. Place for performances is not nice architecture – it is a mixture of improvisations and old walls. Better side of the complex is different open yards, reconstructed by Plečnik (1953) and his followers. You can enter the Križanke church if it is open. It is nice small Baroque church (1714). If you are thirsty during your walk though Ljubljana, you can drink a glass of beer or soft drink in Plečnikov hram. Best side of the autumn to spring season is the scholars of the Design and photography school in the part of the old monastery. Even Melania Trump was a pupil there. A mixture of everything.

A unique remake of a monestery - giving this beautiful, historic building a new lease on life. The exterior is stunning.

I didn't actually go inside this complex, formed out of an old monastery. The buildings look quite attractive from the outside though. No real reason to go in unless there's an event being held.

This is an old monastery which was transformed to a theater by Plecnik. Very close is the School of Desigh and Photography which became famous, as one of the students was Trump current wife.
The small church is worth to visit too.

The church houses special exhibits from time to time. There was a contemporary art exhibit one night when we went by. The theatre has live productions, mamma mia was playing during our visit. We particularly liked the courtyard with its mix of architectural styles and sculptures and the painted walls on the 2 story arcaded monestary.

Monastery and church turned into theater grounds. Inside the court you can see weirdest combinations: old baroque and monastery arcs and modern wall paintings, serene fragment of garden with sculptures and communism symbols. Very worth visiting even if it is a bit away from the city centre and even if there is no concert at the time.

This open air summer theater is a wonderful place to be! It used to be a monastery, so it is really interesting to see, but I would advise to visit it during a concert when it's full of people - only then you get the true feeling of how wonderful it really is.
It is also very common for the locals to hang out outside the theater during a concert, so it is fun to just blend in, and meed the locals. It's a wonderful hanging spot.
